Sadly, my plant got pollinated and is full of seeds. When would the best time to cut it be to maximise the bud? The strain is big bud and its in its 12 week of 12 hr cycle. Only a couple of hairs have turned.
growbot is a cool name !!!! yes, trich's can determine everything.... some growers like jason king, even pull plants such as snowcap and trainwreck, while the hairs are ALL white.. but if you look at the trich's in the pics, they are always milky. I pulled a bluecheese early, all white hairs, but had milky trichs.... it was strong and good.... anyway, bigbud flowers way quicker than 12 weeks, so you may have been ripped off, or your dealing with sativa type equatorial dna....
12 weeks is WAYYYY too long for Big Bud. What type of lights are you using? You need a good magnification tool to look at the trichs, if most are milky white and some amber(10-15%) it's time to harvest. By the sound of it though your lights didn't let it mature. When it does mature, it most likely won't be very good as it got seeded and Big Bud isn't really potent in the first place.
