Best surface for conservation of trichomes?

    What is the best surface material for transporting your ground up buds and loose trichomes to your bowl (so you dont loose any). When i use my fingers i notice they get stuck in between the crevices of my skin and shit like paper sucks too becasue the trichomes really stick to it.

    Do you guys know what im sayin? Well it doesnt have to be the "best" surface, but what is a "good" surface you guys use. would it be like a glass material, plastic, etc.

    I just use my hands, the lost trichomes are negligible.

    I use my hands to break, and have a note card that i fold once the long way(hotdog way haha) so all the kief falls on it then i pour it into the top of my bowl.

    i stare at the ones lost in my skin.
    Pretty good idea, the size of a notecard is prob perfect. but then again its paper, so it better fuckin letgo my trichs.

    I have no idea what you are talking about... Bud usually goes from my baggie to my coffee grinder to my bowl.

    ok well my bud goes from pill bottle to grinder to surface. i cant empty the contents of the grinder direct to the bowl because bowl is too damn small. how do u manage?

    I use a peice of paper, and always lick it afterwards :rolleyes:

    I've smoked lot of seeds in the past because of hating the process from grinder to bowl.

    Someone needs to invent something. or maybe its out there. I dunno. Like a grinder with a funnel lol

    lol i actually lick my fingers it taste like fresh budz. but thats a fuckin great idea, funnels would work but it would have to be made with a great material.

    By "bowl" i mean ceramic, glass, plastic, paper bowl... like what you eat ice cream out of... then goes into my paper to roll one up.

    before there were grinders......

    we all broke the shit up on one type of "tray" or another anything smooth works for this part(like the table...)

    then would always use an ID card or drivers license to "scrape"up the broken bud and "transport" it to the bowl.....or paper or blunt...or whatever.....

    but yeah...the shit dont stick to much to your ID or license.....
    dump the shit out of the grinder..onto smooth surface....then use ID/license/playing card......to pick it up with....you do get the idea right?

    i assume if you didnt have grinder it would just stick to your hands. Ill try the credit card but if i see trichomes getting caked to it ill be back..

    before we had grinders.....the type of pot we have now was rare to see......
    so we did it out of the convenience of picking up all the tiny bits......without using your fingers....
    also would use the "card" to roll out the seeds....yes we had crappy weed....yes there were occasionally lots of seeds.....
    but this"old" method may help you out.....
    and even if they "build up" a bit on the card....should be easy enough to run the edge of the card along the edge of the bowl to remove it......maybe?

    I just can't see why a few trichomes lost to the gods is a big deal. I mean what's 100 broken, unsmoked trich's in a pound of weed. If you're that worried don't chop it at all, just vape it or roll it up in a blunt without chopping.

    I do the same with a folded piece of cardboard, one side is glossed so the trichomes easily give way. After loading the bowl with bud I then scrape and push any left over trich's to the edge with a guitar pick and then drop 'em in the bowl.

    wow manu must be an old timer. before ginders..abundance of seedy weed..
    the card idea works well though trichs fall off with ease.
