i am running a bubble bucket and ive only got hydro knowledge so i was wondering what ph my water should be for soil like before i water it
There is no specific number that is "right" for your input water. You want to test the runoff (what drips out the bottom drainage holes after you've watered it and the water has filtered through your soil), and that should be in the range of 6.4-6.8. Depending on what pH you get with your runoff is how high or low you want your water going in to be, to balance it out.
Our Soil is about 6.5 and we water with Reverse Osmosis Water at 7.0ph. Toward the end of the grow the runoff is at about 6.8-7.0 at the end. Hope this was helpfull. The CMC Family
i think MJ likes a slightly acidic medium. If you have 6.5 in the beggining and end up in 7.0 that means the pH is going towards the alkaline end. You dont want that, however 7 is not bad at all. You might want to get a hold of a pH downer solution and use it towards the end to prevent it to climb up to 7. Hope i made sense and it helps. Peace
