I know this is largely subjective and craftsmanship quality makes a lot of difference... but those things aside, which style of percolator is the best in your opinion? I'm not familiar with many (so feel free to post pictures), so I always thought the tree style was really good. I recently bought one with a matrix style percolator (I think that's it) though and it seems smoother than the tree arm styles I've hit. But those are the only two I've tried as far as I remember. Any other types to keep an eye out for? Edit- Actually just figured out I don't have a matrix percolator, it's a coil type
There is a poll that someone recently did for people's favorite type of percolator. I'll try to find it.
There's not gonna be a "best" perc, everyone likes a different hit, but some top percs would be: - Stemline (definitely the most popular/common, used by a ton of companies but SG claims to have invented) - Gridded trees (Primarily Sov) - Matrix (Mobius) - Fritted disc (DG) - Puckline/Puckolator (Kush Scientific) - Double gridded donut (EFS Glass) For starters.
The Kush Scientific guy has a thread around here to with a bunch of his shit. Ive toyed around with the idea of getting one but im saving up to drop a fat chunk of cash down on a piece by Mar
Ive only tried tree and showerhead percs i preffer the showerhead to trees, those gritted ones look baddass though ima have to get one soon, are gritted and "honeycomb" the same?
fritted* gridded is when you have grids of holes, like on a SG gridded stemline. Frit (with regards to diffusion) is a style with fused little beads that together form a porous glass that allows air through but makes lots of small bubbles.
