  1. sup guys, ive been growin outdoors for a couple of years and decided to go indoors this year. what is the best knid of lighting or lighting combinations to use? right now iam just using a 4 foot fluro beetween 3 small plants but more are germinating.

  2. Hps are best if you can afford them. If not, CFLs. You want to go with 6400K colour spectrum for veg'ing and 2700K for flowering.

Pack as many lumens as u can in there.

  3. where can you find hps and cfl lights? do i have to go to a hydroponics shop or are there any at like a home depot or a commercial store? thanks:smoking:

  4. the best light set up is like a MH (Metal Halide) and HPS (High Pressure Sodium) running together, but thats only if you can afford that because taht could set oyu back about 300-400 dollars. and you can get those at hydroponic stores including cfl's.

  5. For more info check the link in my sig to a lighting guide.

You can get low-wattage MH and HPS systems at Home Depot in the security lighting section. These are designed as security lights for parking lots, warehouses, etc. They come in up to about 70w power I believe. The light output is the same as a MH or HPS designed for growing, the real difference is in the reflector and the ballast being attached to the socket instead of remote. They can be re-wired. Or, you can order complete growlight systems -- MH, HPS, or dual -- off the internet on places like insidesun-dot-com and htgsupply-dot-com.

CFLs you can get anywhere -- Home Depot, Ace Hardware, Walmart, any drug store or grocery store, etc. Wally World sells some very cheap multi-packs of 6500k daylight color temp (good for vegging).

  6. go all out for your lights bro put floros and MH for veg then HPS and MH for flower you can get 400 watt sytems at local hydro stores for decent prices
