Best LEDs for a 6x6

Discussion in 'Lighting' started by lilmink, Nov 4, 2021.

  1. Looking to upgrade my lights here. There's the SF7000. Which I love the spiderfarmer series it is rated for a 5x5 which is fine I can get by with that however it only has a 650w draw. Normally I want close to double that for flower. Like 50w/sqft. Looking for the best two or three options and not against building my own.

  2. I buy from HLG . its my own personal preference .
Everyone has different opinion on this subject .
LED technology also rapidly changes every 6 months to a year .
    Good luck

  3. Best coverage would be individual lights instead of one big board. you could just buy 4x 200W QBs or something like that and spread it even, just a thought

  4. Agreed, for a 6x6 you are going to want multiple lights for good coverage.

  5. Please don’t waste your money on SpiderFarmer. Please don’t.
At that price point it’s really a waste in money for the product and customer service you get.
Actually buy some quality lights if you are going to drop 1k on a piece of light

Fluence is a great led light company, from what I have observed, and they have real ‘spec sheets’ unlike those from SF.
They also have UV in the light, which means greater trichome production.
Tons of different sizes from their four models so I cant recommend one of the top of my head but it’s a website worth checking out.

  6. My preference is more lights, even if less wattage, so there is a better light spread.

  7. Photo Tec. 1000w pro should work for you and I’ve only seen great reviews

  8. Another great light company. Honestly once again, if you are going to drop so much money on a light, don’t buy from Amazon. There are quite few great light companies that most people don’t know about because they aren’t sold on Amazon. It’s the people that do their research and the big scale growers that know about these lighting companies. Do your research, buy a quality light, and DO NOT spend your hard earned money on SpiderFarmer. It’s going to be a waste of money compared to other lights you can find around that price point.
Gavita, Photontek, Lumigrow, Fluence are all great lighting companies.
Also the layout of the LED’s seems to get better coverage which all these companies utilize this layout on their lights.

  9. I wouldnt consider any of those big enough for a 6x6.

  10. =
Heya lilmink, curious what you went with?
    My current configuration in the 6x6 is 2 x 480w (v2 288) qb's on a light rail.
Been contemplating swapping it out for a while now. Thinking of pulling the trigger on a Sunplus SP800 Pro.
If my SQ-520 sensor confirms their performance numbers, at these prices I'll have to grab a few more .

  15. I have the spyder spec 2 for co2 and it can fit in a 5x5 space but you get the footprint for 4x4 for buds. Keep it within 12inches
