Best Image Hosting Website!?!?!

Discussion in 'Security' started by DankyKush1, Aug 10, 2011.

  1. Ive been trying to find a website to keep up with my posts :p
The problem is that I use up all the Bandwidth on Photobucket (10GB)
Also I would use the GC uploader but my photos are all above 2MB and its a hassle to adjust them all

I'm looking for a Picture hosting website that has Unlimited Uploads and Bandwidth
That is obviously still secure, although I don't have and info on my photos.

Also I am very fond of an multiple picture uploaders :D

Does anyone have experience with a good website?

    Thanks :bongin:

  2. Imgboot.com seems to be the only free website that has Unlimited
Here's the Free Vs. Paid link
Free image hosting unlimited bandwidth - IMGboot

Looks decent, not my favorite layout but I think I can store all my photos on here and not worry about the size, bandwidth, or upload limit

Would LOVE to hear other suggestions :)

    Dislike:
Adds a link on the photo
    Image is huge

  6. I don't like that the picture take you to the website :/
Doesn't seem to safe to me for some reason
Website says if you edit the codes they will delete all the pics on the account without warning

  7. I like this:
"Will other people be able to see my images?
No, only you and the people you choose to send a link to the image will be able to view it. Your images are stored confidentially."

Free image hosting unlimited bandwidth - IMGboot

  8. Found this:
"You must not upload any images containing material that is of adult nature, illegal, defamatory, promotes racism, hatred or discrimination."

But what im doing is not illegal...
Also my profile is set to Private with all my info hidden...
So as long as I don't get reported by a user I should be fine right?

  9. imgur.com

    "Are the images anonymous?
Yup. No one will ever know who posted what. If you share your image all over the Internet and it becomes popular, then it might be featured in the gallery. This ensures that the private image you sent to your boyfriend will never be seen by anyone else, while making all the funny images posted to reddit available for viewing. "

My conclusion on the Best Image Hosting Website is:
    Imgur.com

    http://imgur.com/tos Terms of Service
    http://imgur.com/faq FAQ

The reason is because it is:
    Secure (Best Ive seen)
    Unlimited Uploads / Bandwidth
    Great Interface (Very easy upload)
Helpful Tools for Posting Multiple Pictures

"All images uploaded are completely anonymous, and only the people you share them with will see them. However, if you share them with the Internet and they become popular, then they may be featured in the gallery. This means that if you upload an image to share with your friend, only your friend will see it. However, if you share an image with Facebook, Twitter, Digg, Reddit, etc, and it becomes popular, then it may end up in the gallery."

The only problems I have found:
Basically must change the setting from Original size to Large thumbnail every time you upload / post a link, or it will be huge.
As long as images are getting at least 1 view every 6 months, they will stick around forever. After that, your image may be removed to create more space for newer images.

Im not sure if this is a problem...
"What information about me is kept?
Just your IP address. I didn't want to do this, and it was not in the initial plans for the site, but it is necessary. If the cops start knocking on my door about child pornography, I have to tell them who submitted the picture."

    "Stuff not to do

Don't upload copyrighted material, harassment, spam, gore, pornography, or anything that looks like pornography. If you do, we will ban you along with the site you're hotlinking from, delete all your images, report you to the authorities if necessary, and prevent you from viewing any images hosted on Imgur.com. We mean it. "

Here's an example of muli posting:
It simply generates a code with all the images you would like to post so your not going tab to tab one picture at a time. Very useful to me :)
