Best Black Friday steal on a bong ever?

  1. Hey all, first time poster, long time reader:wave:

I went to a local tobacco shop, this piece of shit bubbler I had broke due to heat the bowl just came off and I was stunned they had a roor bong on the shelves..
It was particularly interesting because it was marked $79.99 anyone who has dealt with these overpriced glass bongs would recognize the particular model on sale as a $300+ value....
So first thought was it's definitely got to be knockoff of some sort, not authentic, but even then I was interested because the craftsmanship was obviously superior to anything in the store and they had other way crappier bongs on sale for the same price.
I owned a roor for 5+ years before I moved to Michigan, so I am genuinely familiar with what to expect from a real one, honestly I think I ripped this store owner off.
Being unable to find anything that would make this a knockoff I decided to phone a friend, also I looked at this thread below.

I wouldn't be let down to find out it's a knockoff, that's what I would expect for the price tag, I am almost completely convinced it's authentic. The thing that convinces me is the thickness of the top where you put your mouth, it's identical in feel/look to my old roor.

    The RooR in question.

Someone prove it's fake, I am considering re-selling it lol

  2. its probably fake.. sorry

  3. Well no doubt.

I want to know what about it is fake though..

I live in an area near Detroit where boosting is very common, this could've been stolen and sold to the tobacco store I purchased it.

Consider this, they didn't have any other roors on display and this particular piece shared the same price with other bongs of a completely different calibre, I mean they weren't even worth $79.99 based on craftsmanship.

Regardless of being a fake or not, it's glass on glass, airtight etc. I would pay $79.99 for this all day, just want to know what's the giveaway on it being fake?

There has to be something obvious about it that I am missing and my buddies are missing, my friend has one just like it and he said it looks authentic to him.

  4. Thanks for any and all opinions! Happy Holidays

  5. I'm not very familiar with name brand bongs so i couldn't tell you if that is real or fake. Honestly as long as it follows the forums "Real or Fake" post rules, im sure its real. You can get most anything for a great price. For instance, i got my Gaming rig that has to be at least worth $700 for 200 online, and i also saw a used BMW for 3,300 because the person couldnt afford insurance.

Don't let the prices trick you, its all who the seller is.

  6. Who cares if its fake or not except for being able to say you have a real roor, but if its good quality, air-tight, thick glass, and defused I dont care what brand it is

  7. To be honest, i bout a bong made by HIT for 20 dollars. It was interchangable everywhere and ive dropped it a few times, full and empty, while standing, and it hadnt broke. I bought it from the indian reservation between hagersville ontario and waterdown ontario, where everything is sold cheap because of items being sold as "tax free". Ive also purchased a gram.bag of salvia for only 8.50, and because the tobacco shacks on the rezervations dont charge taxes, all of the high quality items they buy are way cheaper for them to purchase.

  8. Fake

    Fake

    Fake

And you obviously didn't read the thread you linked, if you had you would have read that ice pinches must straddle the joint.

  9. As the guy above kinda rudely said, its fake. The pinches don't straddle the joint, the logo is too high up on the neck and not the right size, and, if I'm not mistaken, the downstem usually has the same color logo

Yeah. Im lookin at my hightimes magazines right now. Unless you found one mixed and matched and its old as hell so the logo wore off and they put a printed off one on there.

  11. fake or not, if it hits... then your good. cant beat 80$ for a bong like that. :smoke: nice buy!

  12. agreed. you paid less than a $100 for a beautiful piece, fake or not.

  13. It's definitely fake, even buying RooRs wholesale would cost ~$180 if they were marked at $300, (headshops take huge profit).

But still, it's a nice bong and it was only $80.. I'd just use the thing.

  14. Roors are over priced for a straight tube I don't see the significance in them they don't even have percs

  15. I got a roor that I'm pretty sure is fake today. Only ran me 45$:smoke:. Still is a quality beaker and came with a 10 hole downstem.

Reason I say its fake is because it has a crowned mouthpiece and the ice pinches don't straddle the joint exactly.

Can't fucking beat that price for a 1' GonG beaker.:hello:

  16. Come on guys I'm not trying to be rude but any roor under 100 dollars has to be fake!! Especially if it has a diffuesed stem. No legit roor would ever go for less that 150 and prolly more with a diffy. Just realize what you are getting ... And enjoy it nevertheless

  17. Fake... still a nice ass piece though.

  18. id bet its fake but then again i dont really know

  19. Yep its fake, the ® trademark symbol is on the top right of RooR, it MUST be on the bottom right, theres your giveaway

This is wrong top right is right. Don't troll.
This is a knock off u.s.
You can tell by the things already mentioned and also in the second photo you can see plenty of run in the glass, RooR glass will be much much better quality in a u.s RooR and flawless in a .de
