What would are some good auto flower friendly nutes Sent from my SM-G960U using Grasscity Forum mobile app
I don't know the best. I HAVE, however, used the Fox Farm Trio for soil successfully. I just followed their application chart... planted in Fox Farm Ocean Forest medium. I hope that helps.
Most, if not all, nutes that work well for photos should work well with autos too.....you just might have to play around with strength. I too am currently using the Fox Farms trio liquid nutes for soil and I'm happy with it.
The main thing with cannabis is it needs calcium. Nobody seems to know how much, but it needs some from somewhere. Some growers have it in their soil or their water, some have it in the nutes they use, or some add it separately. A good all around easy to use and economical pot nute for both soil and hydro is the Maxi series by GH. In soil I would just use the Maxi Bloom, start with 1/4 tsp per gallon. Maxi lowers ph quite a bit, but 1/4 tsp per gallon of decent water will get you right about where you need to be. Then if your plant gets big you can experiment with more. But getting back to calcium, the maxi already has plenty of cal/mag and also sulphur, so in soil that should be about all you need.
My opinion is that fertilizer is like sugar, they're all pretty much the same. That leads me to use the cheapest. Greenleaf Megacrop is a 1-part solid fertilizer, and that's what I use. But JR Peters also has some good, cheap stuff too.
I plant in Fox Farm Ocean Farm soil. First, I only water them... a week, I suppose; then I follow the Fox Farm schedule. I, generally, find that I water every other day and I feed 'the trio' on every other watering. i.e. ~every four days... YOUR mileage will vary. "The trio" comes as liquid concentrates that you combine in water. I hope that answers your question to me.
I've been looking into megacrop, how long have you been using it and how do you like it? From an ease of use standpoint it sounds like a dream come true, I've always hated measuring out and mixing nutes. How is that you can use the same fertilizer for veg/bloom? P
Needing only the same 1-part fertilizer from seed to harvest is why I switched to Megacrop. I've only used fertilizer from 3 different companies, GenHydro, CurrentCulture, and Megacrop. They all work about the same as far as I'm concerned. The Megacrop feed chart probably has us over-feed less than most fertilizers.
Have you tried Miracle-Gro, as well? I vegetated my first grow with MG and didn’t see any damage. By flowering time, my partner got me to using varying formulae according to Fox Farm. The plants DID blossom magnificently... but I think it would do the same with MG.
Used it for 5 years! Changed to nectar for the gods Mammoth P. After buying a ec meter, i found that feeding every other water my plants were hungry! Don't miss the call mag issues seeing that nectar is a calcium based nute! Taste and strenght are so much better now! No more deficiencies yay Sent from my SM-G935T using Grasscity Forum mobile app
So I just Googled Mammoth P. It doesn’t appear to be a fertilizer. Do you add it to help nutrient take-up?
What medium will you be using? Do you have a preference for liquid or dry? What water will you be using? How much will you be making? Like the man said, they are all the same, so the choice may be based entirely on your preference. For instance, in the small, less than a gallon batches I make, I find dealing with mls is easier than dealing in grams. So liquid wins. Sometimes, a certain mix of stuff puts me right at 6.0, so it wins. Some products come in cool containers, so they win.
It's a microbe. It really adds to the loudness of ur weed. I feed the crap out my girls. I go by the chart they supplied, but I beef it up. With nectar u feed ur soil not ur plants. Find myself feeding alot more due to it being very mellow. No more pm from using molasses and salt ferts. Also no deficiencies, calcium based nutes. Doing slurry tests in any soil is the best way to grow! No matter what nutes. Go to bed knowing plants are happy! Back to mammoth, I gave it to my plants every feed. Some like to use it when they make a tea or water with some slf 100. Chart says 3.5 ml during agressive flowering. If u got an hour or 2 watch vids on yt of Nectar for the gods. Scott Ostrander will teach u alot and not just about his product Sent from my SM-G935T using Grasscity Forum mobile app
Slurry test So when ur soil is dry ready to water or feed, do this Take a large shot glass of soil from ur plant and the same amount of distilled water and put in a cup. Stir around. Than put one meter in and get a reading. Than the other. So that will give u the true pH of ur soil. The ppms will tell u if ur plants are eating ur feeds or if they are hungry. So if I get a reading of 350 or under I feed. If it's over 350 i water. It's just that simple Sent from my SM-G935T using Grasscity Forum mobile app
Could you explain the putting one meter get a reading then the other? Are their 2 metters and are both going to test the slurry Sent from my SM-G960U using Grasscity Forum mobile app
Well u could stick both in same time. Would be akward. I'm getting at getting a reading for pH and one for ppms in soil Sent from my SM-G935T using Grasscity Forum mobile app
