best american band

    which band do you all think is the best band to have come from the US? i can easily say its the doors and i see no other band coming close to them. the doors had some of the best lyrics ever and the band played so good together and played to each others tunes and kept control over their music except for when jim would be too wasted to perform. they were around for 5 years and left such a huge impact on us today.

    i don't think this question is possible to answer... unless you've heard every single band, all of their releases, and at least one live show.

    on the other hand, i could agree with the doors, as well as 200 other bands that are just this:

    THE BEST AMERICAN BAND!

    I'd say the Grateful Dead....they are everything American in my opinion

    There's 5 of the best in no particular order.

    Hard to say who's the best, though.
