Berry's Grow Journal

I'm finally able to grow legally now that I've moved to a medical state , and plan on taking full advantage of it. So, now that it has cooled down a bit outside its time to get this show on the road.

I have an extra bedroom in which I'm going to be setting up only one 4x4 grow tent for now, and will be growing 4-6 mother plants and a bunch of clones.

For lighting I will be putting in a T5 light this weekend, but for right now there is a homemade CFL fixture I made a few years ago and had laying around.

The nutrients I'm going to use are the Nutri+ line. I use them at work at a dispensary grow and they are cheap but work great. Right now though I have a bunch of Fox Farm nutrients left over from my last grow so I'll probably use all that up then switch over.

I'm going to do soil since they will be moms and I don't want to spend everyday checking on them. I will probably do a 50/50 potting soil and coco mix.

As for the strains I'm going to grow I already have two of them, 707 Headband and Grape Diesel, both given to me for free so I said why not. I don't know much about the headband cut, but I've smoked the Grape Diesel from this same mother and it smelled just like grapes and had decent potency.

For the rest of the moms I haven't decided yet but will probably include:
Casey's Dream (Casey Jones x Blue Dream)
Afgooey
Fire OG
Girl Scout Cookie

Here's a pic of the Headband clone from about two weeks ago.

I'll get an updated pic of this one and the Grape Diesel tomorrow.

 

Here's the updated pictures. First is the Grape Diesel on the left and the Headband on the right. Both have been topped.



Here's just the grape diesel, I'm pretty happy with all those tops starting and it is still so young, its going to make tons of clones.



Here is a closeup of one of the leaves on the Headband, I'm guessing it is probably some deficiency from being in the quart sized container too long. What I'm curious about is the exact nutrient deficiency.



They've been on the following feeding regiment since being potted in quart containers:
- 9ml/gal Nutri+ Grow A
- 7ml/gal Nutri+ Grow B
- 6ml/gal Nutri+ Cal/Mg
- Epson Salt, can't remember the exact amount
- R/O water
- pH balanced to 5.8
This results in about 1000-1100 ppm.

I'll be moving both of these up to larger containers this weekend, and I'm going shopping this weekend for all the grow equipment that I'm lacking.

So what do you guys think of the plants so far, and any suggestions for strains to fill the other 4 slots in my grow.
