Beneficial Bacteria

Discussion in 'Hydroponic Growing' started by lilmink, Nov 6, 2021.

  1. New to Hydro , what should I know about this, what product or products should I use to help prevent root rot and other bad bacteria.

  2. Garden friendly fungicide

Mix 20 to 1 with clean water and use 1 ml per gallon minimum.

    Cheapest option

  4. This is the active ingredient in Hydroguard , Bacillus amyloliquefaciens.
It's a highly concentrated version at a fraction of the price. Easily one of the best choices I can't even get close to using the whole bottle before it expires. ( 6 months from opening)
    Southern Ag - 05171 - Garden Friendly Fungicide - Fungicide - 8oz

  5. Concerned about the bacteria dying in the water and causing buildup? It isn't meant for a DWC system. Thoughts?

  6. I use it in my DWC grows, it's Literally the same thing as Hydroguard only in a more concentrated form. I use 1ml per 5 gallons of solution, it works.
Garden Friendly Fungicide saved this plant when it waa young.

  7. This happens with all beneficials, they only live a few weeks. Change outs and regular maintenance. You could also grow sterile with a bleach product like UC Roots or something similar.
