Great tutorial. But I do have a question if the OP is still around!? You say the PH the cubes to 5.5<6.5? 6.5 seems very high to me, especially considering the PH will rise as the cubes dry out. I usually PH the initial soak to 5.0 with a 1/4 strength veg solution. I'm not bashing, Just my 2cents
Has anyone had the experience when using this method that it takes more than 7 days for seedlings to sprout? I don't have a cfl so I place my plastic container on top of my HPS light while my last grow is in flower I was thinking the heat from the light would help with propagation. HELP!!!! @SockPuppet all of my seeds have germinated and have a sprout..however one of them is looking a droopy and brown today when I checked it. The rockwool cube is not dry so idk whats wrong! How long should I germinate for before transplanting..its been 2 weeks and 3 days but I thought I had to wait until I saw green ? I dont want to lose a fella they were pricey. Should I transplant asap???? Thanks a lot
There's no way you should let germinated seeds be unplanted for 2-3 weeks... They will start to rot in the moisture!
Also, I use the rockwool to germinate AND grow for the first week. Just drop it in the hole and it germs within 2 days and by day 3 it's popped the surface with cotyledons.
I need help please, so i've followed this method however a friend mentioned to use a 18/6 split light wise, i also put the light as close to the dome as possible however that ended up melting. they have been germinating for 3 days now and still no sign
only a small light is needed, if you are melting anything, then it is too big, or too close, i run 24/0
I'm running 600watt lights, I've changed the height of light however would the prop still do a decent job given the new structure of it following on from melting
hey guys, first time hydroponic grower and was wondering after soaking my rockwool how much water do i leave do i let it just drain out on its own or should i lightly squeeze the water out
