6 Amnesia Haze Outdoors in Florida, 3 are already in the pot for 3 days and the other 3 seeds will be here next week. Soil: Fox Farms Ocean Forest w/ Ff trio soil nutrients I'm a new grower and I hope this start goes very well. The first 3 are in some Earthgro soil my mom had while I waited for the Fox Farms soil and nutrients to come. The pics below are nothing special, the stem hasn't come up as of yet.
Soil came, all 3 where sprouted and i transfered then into the better soil, now i just gotta wait and water till my other seeds and nutrients come
We have the same taste in soil. That and Roots organic are the two that I use. You really don't even need nutrients it has everything in it. To start out I wouldn't use nutes. Just ph balanced water.
With nutrients I've discovered that less really is more. I went nutrient crazy when I first started. It's the opposite of what you would think. Look at the label on the Ocean Forest. What's the NPK?
Starting out they really need nitrogen, which is in the soil itself. Ocean forest should have everything you need.
Just a little update, the two that already came out of the soil have came up a little more and they both have the 2 leaves already, but one is a lil darker shade of green then the other, is that normal? Or what
Should be fine. I planted bagseed from one strain and got different colored leaves. One dark one light. I think it's normal. Unless your leaves are bright red or solid black. You should be fine. It's exciting when they break through. You can baby em. You really just need to show them love. I have trouble leaving mine alone. Wanting to check on em. My goal this week is to leave them alone and let em grow. I've watered, checked on them, and just need to give them time. Good luck.
Well, checked on them today so i could water them, and all 3 pots were tiped over and the plants where no longer inside, I think something may have eaten them, i dont really know, i do know it wasnt cops because my soil and pots would have been gone too. My other 3 seeds will be here this week. Im pretty blowed right now
I had a pepper plant on my front porch looking good. Next morning it was gone. It's very disappointing. I'm sorry.
It sucks pretty bad, but im happy i have 3 more seeds on the way and Ive got 20 regular white widow seeds but i dont feel like wasting soil growing 4 or 5 and they all end up being male
Seedlings get attacked by the microbial life in the active soil. Once the cannabis plant is a couple inches tall and strong then you can place the plant in fox farms soils. You will want to get some sterial soil for germination. For myself I germ the beans in a solo cup with a table spoon of H2O2 and water. 1/10 ratio of peroxide 3% to water. I then leave the soil cup in my kitchen where it's gets some indirect light and enough heat to germ. Then into the sterial soil for a week or two then active soil.
I should say it takes about two days till the beans crack open and the white tail starts to come out. Don't wait, at this point you plant the bean in sterial soil. 2'' containers If you have them. Roots coming out the bottom of your 2'' container in a week or two is when you want to plant them. My experience with fox farms ocean forest is its too strong in nitrogen for small plants the first couple weeks then nitrogen drops off the table. FF soil is will need some additional nuts 6-7 weeks after beginning use. Go organic living soil then all you have to do amigo is water
You know it could be. I have never used that product. As long as it doesn't have any fungus in it to attack the seedlings it should work out good. See that's most gardeners mistake, they buy some good living soil and toss some seeds in. seeds germinate and grow three inches out of the soil and damping off fungus attacks and kills the veggies or whatever. I hear about it year after year.....
I grow thousands of plants for my business so i get asked tons of questions and here about all the failures. Took myself 20 years to stop making bad mistakes. I experiment every time I get a chance so I can see what works and doesn't. Would like to say I've done it all but I'm still young and have many more experiments to have fun with.
