Beginner Budget Tent Grow (Help Me Grow!)

Discussion in 'First Time Marijuana Growers' started by nervanuh, Nov 14, 2018.

  1. Hi! This is my second ever attempt at cannabis cultivation. I live in Canada and the recent legalization has motivated me to try my hand at growing my own!
I am looking forward to the trial and error, the successes and failures, and the disappointments and joy that comes with growing cannabis.
I used this forum on my first grow to get help and learn about new techniques in the past, and I really hope to have the same experience this time around.
I'll be posting pics and questions or thoughts I may have about growing.
Please feel free to ask me questions about anything or please please please feel free to help me out or say something if you see something in my pics that I should maybe do different.
    Anyways...
    It's great to be back!
    Happy growing! 20181020_213711.jpg

  5. They look kind of under or over watered. I can't quite see well on this tiny phone.

  7. I think they are a tad overwatered. I got a little multimeter to test for moisture, I have been watering much less lately since I got it. The soil seems to hold a lot of water for a long time. I only have to water once a week right now when the soil is no longer moist about an inch below the surface. 20181114_143928.jpg

  8. I have no idea lol
I got these seeds from a friend who grew them in an outdoor situation. They turned out decent, but not the best I've ever smoked.
He didn't know the origin of the seeds either.

    Cheers!

  12. Spraying leaves?

Does anyone still mist their leaves after seedling stage?
    With water or other solutions?
I've heard you're not supposed to spray leaves after the seedling stage, but I still mist my plants at least once a day.

What are the opinions on this topic? Do you mist? Do you use water or something else?

Thanks in advance for any replies.

    Cheers!

  13. stick that meter all the way to the bottom of the pots where the roots grow, water when it is half way down or more into the 'moist' area (3,4,or 5).!!
this does not hurt, but it does not help much either, most plants (cannabis included) uptake water through their roots much more efficiently then soaking it up through their leaves, raising the RH would do way more then misting, clones need high humidity but misting is not enough, they have to be covered in a dome for constant 90-100% RH.

  14. this is what a moisture/light/pH meter looked like 20 yrs ago....
WIN_20181001_17_35_07_Pro.jpg WIN_20181001_17_36_57_Pro.jpg the light and moisture meters work great, but the pH meter has always sucked ass, no where near accurate/reliable, do not trust the pH meter.!!

  15. I agree! I don't trust the ph meter on these multimeters, just the light and moisture sensors. I still have to get a reliable ph monitoring system. What do you recommend? Strips? A ph stick? Those bottles of liquid you add to water and judge the color? I'm new to ph, but I know it's important as hell. Thanks for all the help!

  16. Looking ok today! Getting some darker greens in there a bit. The mite victim still doesn't look great, I don't have high hopes for her. Everything else seems in order. Another day, another node!
