It won't let me upload my picture but I have the very first leaves are turning yellow. My plant looks very healthy. I'm using regular 40 w lights think I should change to LEDs?
More light equals more bud. If you're going to change over to LEDs, then you need to spend the bucks to buy a real LED grow light. To get one of any serious quality, you're going to have to drop some bucks but they grow some beautiful buds and will provide a good harvest. I wouldn't worry about it until they were ready for the light flip to throw them into flower. But once they get to that point, you need to give them all the light you can provide. Need a picture to look at as far as the yellowing leaves. You judge the overall health of the plant by what the new growth looks like. If it looks good, then your plant is good. If it doesn't look right, your plant has health issues. In time, you get some old growth die off and anytime a leaf will die, it will change color as it does it. TWW
They say my files are to big to post a picture. I'm thinking this bud is some type of sour I got the seeds from some very nice bud nuggs looked greenish white no shake just fat buds. So happily got two seeds out of the batch they sprouted with out germination. Hopefully it's sour Og or NYC diesel, maybe white widow.
Set your pixel count down on your phone or camera! And if you use eggshells make sure you rinse them VERY well. Be kind. Perfect your craft. Give more than you take. We are family.
Cotyledons naturally turn yellow, brown and then fall off. If the rest of the plant appears healthy (it does), then you're fine! Be kind. Perfect your craft. Give more than you take. We are family.
Would it be a while before I can tell if it's sativa or indica? How long many weeks until I switch to flowering. I'm a total nube at growing but I've been researching for a while. Any help you have let me know
you're a ways to go from flowering if you want a good yield. I'd keep that plant in the cup for about another week then transplant to 1-2 gallons and veg probably for another month. it's too early to tell if it's sativa or indica dominant strain.
Thanks. I have a gallon bucket that I have to extremely clean. It's either 1 gallon or 3. I will use the same exact soil. I didn't want to use any nutrients just natural resources let mother natur take over. So I atleast have 2 months left for my plant to be done? I treat it like a baby
I would say more like 3, it will be 2 months from when you flower but I would definitely veg more before thinking about doing that. Depending on what soil you are using you are most likely going to want to use nutrients, unless you mixed your own soil and let it cook for a while and are doing organics.
for hydro I would go with FloraNova series (grow and bloom), for soil probably use Fox Farm trio. Be warned though with fox farm pH is important (it's always important but fox farm (especially the bloom nutrients)) are stored at a very low pH to keep the shelf life, you will need to balance it before feeding.
Look into earth juice for a good cheap nute. Grow bloom and catalyst I am currently using roots organic nutes. They are little bit more $$
