Bee-like bug

    Found one of these on the roots of a seedling. Looks to be 1/32" in size and resembles a bee. Does anyone recognize this critter? Thanks. -tb 20230906_124837.jpg

    yellow jacket.
    like a smaller wasp.
    bad if in swarms.
