this is just a thread about my plant which is being grown under desk lamps with 13 watt cfls...yes, yes i know thats not enough, but until i get some $ they'll have to do. it is of no particular strain, but i think that it is some kind of skunk, because, well, it smells like a skunk. it is about a month old now and doing well considering it's less than perfect living conditions...smokey, cluttered stoner's room. It sits under the lights on my bookshelf when i'm home and it goes into an old, hollowed out stereo speaker when i'm not and theres a risk that someone might happen upon it. the soil is natural home composted garden dirt. no ferts, just tap water. all considered, it is a good plant. im just crossing my fingers that it turns out to be female. peace easy people...
It will die if you intend on not feeding it forever. Plus MJ plants hate smoke, so it's really not even worth the risk of keeping it around, when it wonn't survive......sorry man
I agree, almost, I'm not all that convinced that second hand smoke is as bad for plants as it is for humans, most of the really harmful carcinogens are prefiltered by lungs, but yeah need to start adding light and a little food.
i just replaced the 13w bulbs with 26watt ones, equivelant to 100 incandescant watts. and i added another light. so i now have 78 watts worth of cfl light and i already see it growing faster. Fatbob, this plant is doing fine, in fact, it's doing much, much better than my friend's plants being grown in a closet. oh, yes, a correction, i have added ferts to it. i used liquid cactus food a while back and the plant seemed to like iti havent fed it since before i repotted it last weekend, so i should be gettin around to it soon maybe tonite. If mj hates smoke, then this must be one hearty ass strain because it has been in a smokey room all it's life and its no worse off.
dude save the lil gal and buy a good light, less smoke and givem some fooood, shes got potential remeber, she could make ya high one day
i agree wholeheartedly. i gave her a little food yesterday and she loves it. this plant is growing two little hairlike things on both sides of each node, lots of new branches are starting to form...i think i got sum good shit growin cause i smoked a fan leaf and it got me high...this was right as i was coming down from smokin a 3 gram blunt of dank bud. the latest fan leaves are starting to show a little purpleish tint to em. I'm going to go take pics right now. and put up a new post soon.
whatever. this plant along with 4 other orphan plants are going in my closet tonite. i'll post a new thread once the whole grow is up and running with pics.
