Beating The Munchies

  1. What do you do to avoid over eating while high, or do you just give in and just relish?
     
  2. You can eat before you smoke so that you don't feel as hungry. Then after you smoke maybe just drink something. After that, just self control i guess.
     
  3. yeh i usually eat before hand, then drink while smoking, but mostly i dont even get the munchies..
     
  4. i try to eat before hand, if not, i destroy every piece of food in the area
     
  5. Just bring a large bottle or glass of water (depending where you are) and sip on it after you're done smoking. Also, try to stay out of sight of food. For me, I normally go and get some fruits and water, it's harder when I'm home since there's pop, chips, fried food, chinese food stuff like that but you just have to be aware of what you're doing and put the junk down. I've lost like 10 pounds from that already (I used to eat a shitload)

    If you smoke several times a day, I would suggest smoking right before meals (this really helps if you are on the heavy side like I am). Stick to normal portions the first 2 weeks or so and you will quit getting hungry when you are high. Otherwise stick to water or low calorie fruit drinks. Most of the time when you think you are hungry (high or otherwise) its just your body telling you that you are dehydrated.

    I agree with Perma.
    Contrary to popular belief, weed can help you LOSE weight. Hell, I've put on 10lbs or so since losing my dealer, just eating out of boredom.

  8. Yup, it speeds up your metabolism, so if you smoke then just drink water or have a regular meal like Seni_Sensei suggests you could lose weight. That's how I've been losing weight.

    Edit: Yeah I get the WORST cotton mouth, it's unbelievable!
     
  9. i go wild and eat as much as humanly possible. after im done there will be no chicken bone left unpicked and no glass of iced tea undrunk. the upside is that it gives me a little of motivation to get off of my lazy ass and cook something and i wont have to eat later. the latter is a real plus cuz at job corp dinner sux and breakfast is even worse but lunch is good 9 times out of 10 and i only have the opportunity to smoke during the training day. ive actually lost a little more than 10 pounds this way leaving me at about 150. oh yeah.

  11. I'm sick so I have soup for "munchies" if you can even call it that. But I have some gatorade downstairs, that's a cotton mouth killer for me so that's pretty sick.
     
  12. I only eat every 12 hours
    So when its session time i get the munchies and eat my one meal
    I made the munchies a regular part of my day
     
  13. That's really unhealthy, you should eat 3 meals a day at least (large breakfast, medium lunch, small dinner) or 5 small meals a day.
     
  14. Drank H20 before and after it won't beat the munchies but you definately won't be
    as hungry as you did before you Drank H20:wave:

    But seriously, I heard if you brush your teeth after you smoke, you won't get the munchies. Haven't tried it yet though...
     
  16. Agreed. I almost always have somthing to sip on, i try to stay away from soda but my mom will buy it if its on sale for me. So i usually have a big glass or two of tea at once, keeps you hydrated, and your not always hungry.
     
  17. im so damn lazy that when i get the munchies i wont even make anything.

    thats how i stay thin :D
     

  18. Meh, being 315 points was more unhealthy, i was out of breath walking to my damn classes. I'm down to the weight of 230 now and much happier.
     
  19. Ha I eat good food when i dont smoke and then munch everything in sight when i smoke...it worked until i started toking everyday.
