Recently in my area there has been a huge push to raise the price of Pot by a lot of the importing distributors. The regular "bag" around here is low-medium quality midi bud for 25 bux an 8th and generally 110-140/zip. Its been this way for years and years. Of course ever since I was 15 a new some folks who could get some nice Name Brand kind bud out of Portland. Up until several months ago, the twin cities of Lewiston/Auburn were for the most part exclusively subject to these low mids (around here the term we use is 'mersh' or 'comercial' grade pot) or this imported kind bud at generally around 40-45/8th. Personally, i buy an oz of Kind bud from a friend who goes to school up in Farmington for 300 bux every two weeks. Bubblegum, Blue Rhino, poison afghan...some nice shit, all 300/zip. Recently however I have been very disappointed to see beasters in my bag instead of kind bud when sampling other sources acclaimed, "Headies". They know i buy an oz every few weeks of something i approve of, so the intrest could be a pretty penny. Ever since i saw those beasters I keep on being disappointed to have these kids call me up to show me beasters. Could it be that this area is so " pot illiterate" that the kids cant tell the different between hot-smokin, leaf yielding, under-cured, miracle grow tasting beaster bud and legitimate heddles? Can you believe this kid quoted me 300 for the beasters? I laughed when he smiled at the door all devious and acclaimed the weed as the, "best he had ever seen" and upon handing it to me it was leafy beasters. I asked him what about the weed made him think it was so good and he said, and i quote,... "Are you kidding me? Look man its all orange, and not a single seed!" I laughed and asked him how much he was paying an oz, he says, "Oh, well i usually say 320 but i can d it for 300!" Can you imagine paying the same price for beasters as I do for aks? it's a new trend, try to find the dumb kids, front it to em, and get almost twice the value. It drives pot prices up for everyone in the area, and it makes it harder to geta good price on heads. Makes me sad to see the prices go up… I think the lack of good bud for a lot of kids has caused a "retarded generation", Could it be?
MAN OH MAN i know where your coming from. I live in the waterville area and jesus i would rather buy the commercial shit around here then go and spend on overpriced poorly flushed bud that barely even smokes!. Once in a while, and i mean a GREAT while ill find some real quality stuff but man it sucks right now. What i would do for some killer killer buds . LIke you said though might as well stick with the mersh because for about 115 a zip you cant really pass it up. i also find the up here in the pine tree state our "mersh" can sometimes be well worth it happy tokin man
