I'm filled with jealousy. I got the facial hair of a 14 year old. It made the Army a breeze though. That extra 10 minutes of sleep I would have spent shaving was glorious.
I haven't shaved my face since late September... and I fucking love it! Started seeing this new girl in early September and I was shaving everyday to try and keep myself neat... At the end of the month, she said that she loved my stubble coming in and also that she loved beards. Challenge accepted! I still remember the first time that I ever had to shave. I was 15 years old, just got back home from school. Looked at myself in the mirror and I noticed mad dark hair growing in under my chin and around my upper neck. Ever since then, it has been thickening up and growing upward. The hair around my neck, jawline, sideburns, and my mustache all grow in really well. Still a little less dense in my cheeks, but it is still thickening up more over time. I'm 23 now. I was always afraid to let my beard grow out because I thought that my cheeks would look bad, but the more it grows out, the better I feel about it. I've gotten a lot of compliments on it and have actually been hit on by female friends who were never interested in me prior to the beard haha. I'm probably going to keep it going for another month or so before I shave it down into a goatee. Also, I've done some research and learned that male beards don't reach their full maturity until you're in your 30's. A little word of encouragement to those who are growing patchy beards or no facial hair at all.

gonna shave my face in a couple hours. almost 10 years since i had a clean shaven face(graduated high school in '05, threw away my razor). ive had varying lengths of beards up to lengths of 2 inches. im saving the ZZ Top length for my older years(50+). im only gonna shave once though. i want it all to come in all at once. probably gonna shave up to my earlobes. leave that bit of side-burn. probably wont finish with a razor though. razor burn is one of the reasons i grew a beard in the first place. everyone i know and associate with today except my wife(we went to high school together) knows me with a beard. this is going to be interesting! almost ten years... Edit: so i just did the deed. i miss it already. probably will never go clean shaven again. i should have at least kept my mustache. nothing says "cut rate porn" like a stand alone mustache.
I grew a beard in jail, three months it took. And everyone called me a terrorist and shit. When I got home my mom made me shave it off. I miss that beard but I still can curl my mustache just think it looks funny. People say the curly mustache is baddass but I cant tell if their serious.
beards are fucking lame in my opinion. When I see someone with a overgrown beard I feel like they are trying really hard to be a "man".
I haven't shaved in like 2 years, cleaned the cheeks up and even it up a bit every once in a while, but that's about it. I can't really grow a mustache very well though so a lot of the customers that come through where I work ask if I'm amish, mainly the old people. I feel sad about the mustache, but I can grow an epic ass beard so eh. Fuck it.
The only thing I will ever thank my dad for are good physical traits lol... I can grow a nice thick beard...but I dont like it long or nothin...jus trimmed up lookin nice My friends even get jealous cuz they cant grow a beard like me lol
I don't see a day coming soon that I will shave my beard. It really is just a huge part of who I am. I became so much more confident when I grew it. Straight up beard has changed my life.
The world goes through Phases. Everyone used to have gotease (sp). Said the same shit. I'll have this forever.....5 years later....gone. Now it's beards. Once it was mustaches. Then it will roll around and clean shaven will be back in. Some people are dedicated. I don't even own a razor, only trimmers. 5 o'clock shadow kind of guy. Always have since high school 30+ years ago. Of course there's the people who have had and will always have a beard. Then there's those that watched duck dynasty and started theirs the next day. I have a theory that if you didn't have a beard before duck dynasty came on air, chances are you're not going to have one after it goes off. Even if you don't watch the show. Trends come and go but you got to appreciate the guy walking down the street with a big ass bicycle mustache a century after it stopped being a trend.
Trimmed to a half inch but I let it grow as long as an inch. I buzz my hair at the same time though so...some times I buzz it into a mow hawk for a couple weeks or so. I always buz it off at some point lol...
