Be aware when shopping seeds

Discussion in 'Marijuana Seeds Banks' started by Yx3598, Mar 30, 2023.

  1. I recently purchased seeds online from
    three seperate vendors,east coast/west
    coast/midwest.All three purchases were
under 200 bux ea.All three sent me very
small light colored seeds.Out of almost
100 seeds I have about ten that made
it to seedlings. There is a nationwide
scam underway so be aware when
    looking to purchase seeds.First the
pkts aren’t date stamped.I think the
growers are keeping the viable seed
for their own stock and I’d bet that
the photos of the mature plants are
from hightimes mag.I found out about
this the hard way.If you rcv.seeds that
are either small or light in color send
em right back.A lot of scams going on
everywhere on the planet and this is
just another one.Look up growers on
BBB and see if they’ll sell you some
    fresh viable seeds.Stay away from
    the middlemen.Be aware.

  3. Plus there is no way you got 100 seeds for less than $600, if you did than you got what you paid for.

  7. Hello jo! Warning to all is all.

  8. much obliged

  9. You'd be better off warning people about the breeders you're choosing, banks don't make the seeds, besides the freebies you get from GLG.

  10. HEY GX.Valid point.Sorta.The brokers
(banks) are responsible to the end user
    regardless.The breeder should be requ
ired to date stamp-as all other breeders
    of types of seed.
if broker is offering a product from ANY
    source,then broker should stand behind
it.So now broker is aware there is a pro
blem re viability but does nothing.Just
wanted to make people aware of what
has all the earmarks of a massive scam.
Always thot chatrooms were for teenage
girls and deadbeats! Still do.I’m am gon!

  13. While you might find a greater germination rate from specific vendors I've personally never had enough faith in my fellow man to believe that what is being advertised is actually what is being delivered as well as the superiority of one strain over another (lifelong bagseed consumer in a non medicinal State).

  14. The idea is to find reputable breeders who do more inbred lines, landrace, and heirloom varieties rather than f1 polyhybrid cookie crosses. Many breeders are just honest dudes trying to make a living, but there's a lot of people who are just in it for the money. When you see a pack of 10 seeds selling for $500 and another for $50, it should be pretty obvious who's who.

Bag seed is great until you realize that your time and garden space are limited. Growing a plant for months only to find that it's an industrial hemp cross or a hermie sucks. I personally don't waste my time with them anymore, but I already have a bunch of seeds to work my way through so your mileage may vary.

  17. I had a 100% germination rate growing ILGM Super Skunk last year and this year. I also added their Durban Poison this year. Again 100% germination rate. I'd suggest altering your seed starting methods. I've experienced poor germination rates with the new Promix that uses a chemical wetting agent called AquaGro 2000M. I've lost faith in Promix products as their site product descriptions don't even match their bag descriptions anymore. I do a bit of breeding myself and some seeds are just smaller and more pale. I still have 100% germination rates as I eliminate 20-25% of the immature seed that comes along with the mature ones. Undeveloped seeds look different than mature ones.

I use only euro Dutch shops, theirs no shortage of quality breeders in Holland

this years beast of the best has to be Desfran, also one of the hardest for me to grow,
being a descendent of the known Destroyer but easy 30% thc
