If anyone remembers the story about the murder of Oscar Grant back in January on New Years Day after he was shot by police officer Johannes Mehserle point-blank in the back for absolutely no reason, there's some good news. From the article: "A California judge ruled Thursday that enough evidence exists to hold over former transit police officer Johannes Mehserle on a first-degree murder charge in the shooting death of a 22-year-old man at an Oakland, California, transit station on New Year's Day." Just thought I'd share. Give the article a read. This guy definitely deserves to rot in jail for the rest of his life.
the cop was just doing his job, im sure that he didnt mean to shoot oscar whatever and if you have seen the video Johannes is remorseful immediately afterwards and puts his hands up in the air like a "what the fuck" just happened moment. it would seem that he mistook his gun for his tazer and aciddently fired it. its a sad situation in any case but Oscar shouldnt have been acting up on bart in the first place, and he never would have been in that situation and died. ever think about that? i hope johannes gets off easily. so many people think its an injustice or something and they dont even know what happened, sheeple are so easily swayed.
in the back? Where the fuck are you from calitreez? In my country cops only shoot people when they are a threat to the officer or to innocent people in the area. Even then the suspect has fair warning and will usually be facing the officer not lying on the ground under another officer. This is a case where even a taser should not have been discahrged. The suspect was unarmed, on the ground with at least 2 officers present. That is sufficient to cuff someone without significant risk to anyone
It's obvious you know nothing about the story whatsoever. Had the cop "just been doing his job" I highly doubt he'd be in the position he's in now, especially given with how much cops get away with normally. Shooting someone who 1). wasn't doing anything unlawful, and 2). wasn't resisting, is absolutely evil. How you can stand behind this man is besides me, and how you can even reiterate the "mistaken gun for taser" bullshit is absolutely ludicrous. He was a trained cop for God's sake, he should've KNOWN the difference between a taser and a gun. What would he have needed the taser for in the first place? Oh right, exerting his imagined power over a helpless, innocent civilian.
Exactly, a gun is about double the weight of a tazer. Plus, he had only received the gun a couple days prior, so he should know where it is... Trigger happy?
