I've only played Battlefield 1942 the first one. I was pretty decent...but, all everyone ever did was camp for the planes/tanks, and when they didn't get it they blew it up and team-killed like hell. This was the worst on the aircraft carrieres. People would all be mechanics and try to just blow everyone else overboard with tnt and mines. Kinda hilarious though, the complete lack of teamwork. I was always laughing.
Yea man, I have the 2142 PC Gamer mag. Looks aweasome. Maybe theyre going to keep making Batlefields like Arthur C Clarke. Like 2001 A space Odyssey was Battlefield 2. Just waiting for Battlefield 3001.
Im gonna bust out BF2 again right now. There are teamplay enforced servers, and when enough admins are present its the fucking shit. Squads sticking together and moving tactically, there is always a well defined "front" not ppl all over the place like regular multiplayer. I just hate the BF2 interface, everything is laggy and buggy. Dice made the game pretty good, and EA tortured it with their shitty updates that created more problems than they fixed.
I never liked the vehicle aspect of the BF games. Too many people just grab planes and trucks and shit and run people over. Not enough firefight in my opinion. But I will have to play that, or at least give it a shot 'cause my buddy and I have had our eye on it for a while.
