Well guys and gals, Here it is. I finally got my computer and seeds in the mail and this thing has been in the making for the last 2 days. I've got a few more things to do to it. I"m gonna get a bigger fan to help cool it and push more air. Well, yeah...thats about it. LOL I'm very happy with it and think it should work very well for growin 2-4 Lowryder #2 plants. Well, i'm gonna bombard you with pics now. HOLD ON TO YOUR SEATS. *fires up the engine* Here is the first seed to pop. Here is the package of seeds and whats left of them from Dr. Chronic. Very fast shipping and very easy to work with. However, i'm gonna bring it up with him. I"m a little pissed that 2 of the seeds seedcoats are cracked half off. Here is the front of the computer. No light leaks whatsoever. Here is the side of the computer that is removed when I want to get inside of it. Here is the rear of the computer. Notice only 1 power cord. Nothing suspicios here folks. Here is the side that things are glued to. This is not to be removed. NO light leaks here also. Here is a closer view of the back of the computer case. Here is a picture of the cab with the door removed. I think i'm gonna like this setup a lot. Here is a picture of container I will be growing in with FoxFarm Ocean Forest Organic Potting Soil. It will be here in the mail tommorow. As of now, my seeds are placed under this to keep light out in the case, with the lights on to keep the temperature up to promote germination. Here is my CO2 Generator. I"ll probobly be making a bigger one as soon as I get some bigger bottles. The hose will be modified to be longer so that i can wrap it up around the plants and what not. There will be more to come on this subject in the future. Here is a picture of my 6 CFL's in the case. Total Power = 150 WATTS. I can only run 1/2 of them now, but with the new fan that will be here soon i should be able to run all of them. Here is a picture of the fixtures. Here is my carbon filter. It's mocked on there for the picture, but it's airtight when it's on there. I removed it due to fan issues. I dont need it yet either! It's about just under 2" of carbon between 2 pantyhose. It works great. It tested it with silicon fumes. I put the fan on a bunch of fresh silicon and smelled...and about died. then i put the filter on and did the same thing and I didnt smell a thing from the silicon. (that horrible vinegar smell associated with silicon) Here is a pic of the fans i'm running now. This is my multivariable adjustable DC power supply used to run the fans. It is what I use to charge my cell phone. I even spliced the cell phone charge back on there so I can still charge my cell phone with my Cab. LOL...can you say STONER MOMENT? Another inside pic. Here is a pic of the main lightproofing feature for the removable door. It's the aluminum tape folded over and pushed out slightly. This seals against the door when closed and creates a small pocket/shadow that stops the light from going around the bend. This lightproofs the door perfectly. This is my Digital Thermometer and Humidity Guage. Here is the pic of the seeds waiting to sprout. 1 has popped. Here is a picture of the cab set up as I plan to use it with all lights turned an and everything. BEAUTIFUL. Overall, it was a big mess making it but well worth it I believe. I dont have any light leaks and if i covered up the fans, i could probobly pressurize the inside of it. Ever hole, every seam, every everything has been sealed with silicon, taped up with aluminum foil tape, and mylared. Not one surface of the inside is unreclective or sealed. It's a piece of work if I must say so myself. Well, after all that, i'm gonna leave it at that for now. Hopefully the other seeds will be popping soon and i'll have them in soil by tommorow. PEACE OUT
hey guys, i'm so lost. I'm putting the url directly into it, it all shows up, iv'e used the picture post button, i've tried code, nothing is letting my pics come through. GGRRR
sick setup man ill be pullin up a chair i want to see how this turns out haha good luck I'll be keepin in touch.
Well guys and gals, I've got 4 of the 5 seeds sprouted so far. Waiting on the last one to pop. The others have been planted in small things of soil until the last one pops. Then i'll fill my container and plant over to the main container. But, i was unhappy with my high temperatures, so I went to LOWES tonight and bought some scrap plexiglass. What I did was cut plexiglass to fit, and then adhered it to the sides and made it fit just right. Moved a fan to the back of the power supply also. Now, its pulling air out the back by the power supply right past all 5 bulbs, then at the front is a hole where the air can come down and pull from the flowering chamber, and then it comes in at the very bottom front of the computer. I"m really likeing this design. Now, i'll be able to have the plants practically touching the lights without it getting too hot. I cant have 6 bulbs anymore with the new fan placement, but i bet i could fit bigger bulbs than what's in there right now without a problem. Especially when my new 80CFM fan comes...that'll go into the back where the small one is now...with a nice big carbon filter. Just waiting on USPS. Now, i can run 5 cfl's at a lower temperature than I could previously run just 2. I'm LOVING THIS! Oh, and my 1st seed to sprout still didnt pop the surface so i carefully checked what was going on. The fucker was trying to grow downwards. I got him turned around, and close the surface, He see's light now and should be greed and healthy by morning. Stupid Plant! Heres some picture porn!
Everything looks great , and the Video is awesome. What spectrum Floro you have running?? warm white , cool white , soft white??? K+ bro
Awesome vid man you should definitely make more of them. Nice grow, what watt lights are those? I know if you would have used 1/2 42's it would fill that whole baby up with lgiht.
Hello guys, Well, as you all know, my last attempt didn't work out so well. The problem was that I was using the local water and it had a PH of way over 8.0 and it caused severe stunting, yellowing leaves, and twisting leaves. So, I got new seeds and decided to start over fresh. This is how it's going this time. Light being used: 131 watts of CFL Medium: Fox Farm Ocean Forest Filter Material: Carbon Fiber Matt Cab: Stealth PC Grow Case Nutrients and Chemicals used: Superthrive, Mollasses and a 6.5 PH buffer solution. Plants: Lowryder #2 and Auto-BhangBoth autoflowering strains. Auto-bhang was a freebie from Dr. Chron.Reflective Material: Mylar Plants growing: 94 Lowryder #2's in the main planter3 Auto-bhang in a ice cube tray1 Lowryder #2 in bigger looking shotglass1 Lowryder #2 in small shotglass Most have just sprouted today. I have 3 plants left from the last grow. One of my seeds didnt germinate and the ones that I saved I put in the old spot where the seed didn't germ, and the other old one I put in the other ice cube tray. I dont know if they will live or not. They are stunted but have yet to show sex. So, i'll keep hope. The one in the small shotglass, is a old seedling where the root died off. The leaves kept growing so I didnt give up. I put root hormone on it and after about 2 weeks...(yes..that small plant is 2 weeks old) and now it is finally creating roots again. I'll update more as plants keep growing, but this is the setup for plants right now. I have also implemented the homeade DIY CO2 Generator. Anything to help my yield i'm trying out. I also made new case mods: I added a carbon fiber matt to the back of the 80CFM 80mm fan to stop light from going through and help filter smell. I added carbon filter to the intake to stop light (main reason) and clean incoming air..(oh well..lol) I added a 2nd layer to my cool tube to help cool my pc. The air goes in a U shape cooling the fans and the 1st layer of plexiglass. With the added carbon filter, it didnt blow enough and I found extra cooling necessary. Works like a charm. I added a carbon filter. I put at the end of the cool tube, a big hole that I filled with carbon fiber matt. All air to cool the lights is pulled through this carbon filter and taken right out of the back of the case. It pulls the air from the grow chamber, cooling that as well and keeping fresh air available PICS:
