( to be fair, I was a nurse for 30 yrs and we lose a career over it here...but retired and am looking for like minded fam up here. Ive always had to get friends in California and WA. Problematic, so want to grow my own. Any other canna fam out there in this part of AL?

Hi Toni! ( my mom's name...I'll remember it for sure! Lol) What part of AL? I may know your mom! Lol Nurses gravitate to each other! Lol. Tell her NEVER in 30 yrs of nursing I never smoked weed! ONLY after I had to medically retire. ( terminal illness) I had delt with the fall out of narcotics my whole career. I decided safer to use weed for all my symptoms. I was taking it orally in edibles or feco in capsules bc I had a stupid idea to sell my house and live in an apartment...never have. Its on a big private fishing lake. I thought, fun to retire there. But I HATE it here. I can no longer absorb edibles...so smoking is only option. But the smell in an apartment building with a woman upstairs that reports the smell. There are weed smokers around her. Its dank outside. But she has said she knows I have to use it. She thought it was so polite of me to do edibles bc she didn't like smell...lol. Puh-lease....nope, I just dont look good in orange! Lolol! So now shes smelling it but not calling popo bc she " thought you might have to be smoking for your medical issue..."...lol Last night I laughed like a hyena...I could go shake down all the stoners for " protection"....ill tell her its me as long as each of you give ne $100/mo. O/W I'll go all Shaggy....It wuttin me! And ya'll are screwed..lol. Of course Im kidding. Ironically, I haven't been smoking. My friends in WA and CA kept me in the best of the best huge amounts. Rhen one had a package seized. They didnt do anyrhing bc she ignored the letter. They cant open it with a warrant. So it scared her so bad I told her ot to risk it. Im in Huntsville...Lived in Bham...Huffman as a kid. I know the weed is not much better from what I have tried up here. Only k ew 1 guy. He's in jail for unrelated crime now. So no source. Id smoke ditch weed at this point! Lololol. I am looking for a house. Get out of this apt so I can grow but the market is insane. A new listing...he call within an hour and they have 12 apps already. Im going nuts here with NO WEED. I cannot believe. Friends would sent POUNDS. I never forsaw running out. I gave it away too freely always. I just want people that are smoking crap weed to try some fire! Lol. Maybe you can give me florist referrals. It's redonkulous! Lol!! Im so happy to find another person in AL! I'm not dying tomorrow! Lol...a few years maybe...and I need a transplant...so I might be around fo-evah!! Mwahaha!! I wanna know where your mom has worked etc. And where are you? Not your address! Lolol! Welcome to the City! Have you gotten your medical card in AL? I don't know what AL offers in the medical marijuana lineup, but it's got to be an advantage to get your card and be legal to some extent. Mobile is my hometown, but I'm in legal Virginia now. I wish you the best of luck.
The medicinal program here only offers synthetic pharma with no allowance for using or growing the actual product; the FAQ on the site linked indicates there are no doctors currently allowed to prescribe and no dispensaries for the consumer.
Gosh. That's a bummer. Thanks for the link. At least the qualifying conditions list is reasonable. I hope they get up and running quickly. I waited a long time for a dispensary to open here in Virginia, but we're going strong now.
Thank you so much!!! We have been looking for the right place in VA...it's cheaper to live there now than here! And it's legal! Lol. But timing issues, my illness, etc.. I have to stay closer to UAB bc Im in transplant program there. The med laws are a joke. Guvnah MeeMaw made it legal to have special docs trained to qualify ppl. Then they prescribe...then it is shipped to you from 1 source. But HERE is the best part. Only available in capsule or lozenge ( with a million rules on flavor, color etc to make SURE it doesn't look like candy. Ok..thanks Guvnah!! But I have 6 auto-immune diseases and non-alcoholic end stage liver disease and the GI route won't work. My liver CANNOT absorb it. I have no choice but to smoke or vape. I wanna be in the VA mountains...but avoiding rednecks...lol...growing away my medicine! And if you say I can grow 4, Ill smile, thank ya and hide my big grow, but offi er, the smell is from these plants ( shows my 4 legal girls.) I want to sit on my own deck, look at the mtns and puff away. I HATE Alabama. Now you made me cry! Lolol kidding. But I still wish....and secretly still considering it. Teehee. I'm in Norfolk, on the Chesapeake Bay. Yeah, we don't have a lot of them, but we have dispensaries. Our program started like Alabama's without botanical cannabis (buds), but that didn't last too long. We have physicians licensed to certify you for MM. Only drawback is expense. Then in July of 21 recreational cannabis became legal. We're allowed to grow four plants. There is no place to buy legally though. You're certainly welcome here!
