I wanna start bass but I have never played a guitar before. My buddy is going to teach me electric and acustic but how different would bass be from an electric guitar?
the fact that you (usually) dont need to use/remember chords makes bass easier to learn than guitar (of course there are advanced techniques though). i just started playing bass last year, self taught so im going pretty slowly but im happy with my progression. and yeah bass of course has two less strings.

some starter amp. just go to the store and see. the first starter amp you see will probably be fine. for now.
