    Here's some basic tips to retain privacy on GC or the internet in general. Many probably know these things, but many also don't. This isn't a complete list and feel free to add anything.

    Pics
    Many cameras save information(EXIF data) when taking pictures. This information can include, but isn't limited to; location(GPS), camera type, date/time as well as non-incriminating info such as the settings used when taking the picture.
    Uploading to imgur.com removes exif data.[1]

    To check exif data, go to http://regex.info/exif.cgi or Right click on your image--> Properties--> Details.

    If you upload an image somewhere else and then upload it here or vice versa, you can find one from the other using a backwards image search like tineye.com

    Usernames
    If you use your GC username anywhere else and it isn't generic, people can connect the two via a google search

    Posts
    If you copy/paste something that you posted elsewhere, simply Googling a unique phrase in quotes will bring up everywhere that it has been posted.

    That's all I got for now. Stay safe, smart and stoney.

  2. You can remove exif data even easier by taking a cropped screenshot of the picture you want to upload and just upload the screenshot.

    good tips though

  3. Just to add on to your post... if you're uploading a picture somewhere to put on GC and want to make sure the EXIF data is removed, you can use a site like this to see any data stored in the image: Jeffrey's Exif viewer

  4. or you can go to properties if i'm not mistaken.

  5. pls tell me this works..

  6. Right click--> Properties--> Details
