Banannas don't grow on trees

1. Bro, your pretentiousness on the subject is fucking aggravating.

Maybe you should strive to be a little less like the prick who (thinks he) knows everything, nobody likes that person.

2.
Except... its actually the worlds largest species of herb!
That looks like a tree

3. Oh wait, you're one of those people that thinks they know shit, but really gets proved wrong all the time and get pissed about it, then comes on the internet to act hard?

And my pretentiousness on the subject? This isn't an opinion, this isn't debatable. Banana's don't grow on trees, its a simple fact. Dropping knowledge on you right now.

^ my reference btw

4. Ok I went to Chiquita's site and read "The banana plant is not a tree, but the world's largest perennial herb and grows up to 25 feet, developing massive banana leaves that may extend 9 feet in the air. Edible bananas are technically berries and do not produce seeds".

Now I am wiser and this thread is stupid.

5. I know, if it weren't for all the people filling it with retard posts more people could learn about the worlds largest herb.

6. Did I come in here to debate with you about the banana "tree" being a true tree or not? I don't think so, I have no contentions with this fact... It's just the way you're going about spreading this knowledge is less than satisfactory.

7. You have to admit it tho it does look like a tree ??

8. How is that? If anything you sound like a little prick. I didn't start insulting or flaming anyone until the thread has already turned off topic. See: first 2 posts following mine.

It does, its fooled me for years.

And I thank you for the knowledge I all way fort it was a tree well now I know

10. Not only are they not 'trees' but their leavs smell so fukng bad. Used to have 2 banana trees (ya idc, they were like 6 and 10ft tall, any plant that tall will b colloquially called a tree by me) and my dog used to roll around in em n come back covered in dirt and sappy like sticky stuff.
Ended up givin them the axe

11. I don't remember ours smelling bad, but I fucking hated them. There would always be these big ass spiders in them, just watching me...

Didn't give them the axe, was too afraid of the spiders, sprayed them with weed killer from the other side of the fence. My parents still think they caught a "tree disease"

12. What countries do they grow in ??

13. Dude I'm in the U.S., you can just go buy one from the plant store.

I think like tropical or jungle areas though, thats something for the banana experts, I've just started learning.

14. Someone has the hots for "bananas".

15. Actually I can't stand them. I haven't even peeled one because I think it'll be weird.

16. Any chance they were banana spiders (golden orb weavers)? Those are some evil lookin things right there. And we have them everywhere in florida, theres places where the powerlines willb banana spider web next to web next to web for miles

17. Yep thats what it looked like, we also had one like that on a desert-like plant, killed that bitch too. FUCK spider nests!

I'm not sure if it was a banana spider though, just because I thought they weren't common in KY, and its not like we have alot of banana trees to attract them.

18. hmmm i was kinda being a bitch. im sorry

19. Yea I was an ass, this thread really escalated quickly.
