AMSTERDAM - A majority of the Amsterdam council have agreed with the introduction of a ban on cannabis shops where trouble is caused by the youths smoking it. The Mayor Job Cohen will be able to announce bans on specific areas and streets. The left wing parties are against the ban because they say there is no proof of a link between cannabis use and trouble.
