So i've now got my 400w HPS Ballast (Xtrasun High Pressure Sodium 400W Ballast) which simply plugs into an outlet and ive got my 400w HPS bulbs. However it appears i'm missing a cable that plugs into the Ballast from the Reflector. Does the reflector come with the socket and cable to plug into the Ballast or must i buy all this seperately?
Normaly, the socket comes with the ballest, but look around the internet - i am sure there is somewhere you can get the socket at. Oh, and it normaly doesn't come with the reflector. The answer for you is: seperate...
It should of came with your ballast. It wont come with the hood. Some lame hydro shops pull them out of the box and sell them separate.
ive always known that all the parts come seperate; ballist, hood, and socket. however some stored make a package deal of all these parts
I have 2 of the same ballast and cord set. it should of came in a seperate box inside the main box. the ballast itself has the power cable attached and the socket and cord is seperate and plugs in...... Andrew

Mine came with just the power cord for the ballast. Not the socket or cable that the socket connects into the ballast. If you know of any sites that have a socket for S51 (ANSI Spec) type please give me a link i've been browsing a bit.
