I want to grow this summer, indoors, but since it's my first time, it doesn't make sense to pay a bunch of money for seeds online (not to mention i am on a college student's budget and can't afford to get screwed out of any money). I got an 1/8th pound a few months ago from a friend....not very good weed but he gave me a great deal. It smokes ok, nothing fancy. The bud was very seedy - I just recently started to collect seeds and have about 8 so far. My question - is it worth growing seeds from poor quality weed? I guess the real question is is it bad weed, or was it just grown improperly? I understand there may be no ways for you guys to tell, but maybe someone has an answer for me.
mostly it's just grown improperly. If you buy regs (shwag) from a dealer it's usually mass produced outside grown plants. The males are usually not taken out and the plants just grow and are harvested at the wrong time. What I'm trying to say is that the quality of the weed is mostly depends on how it is grown. On the other hand you can get a seed with poor genetics.
