Whats up everyone! I started off a bagseed grow, check it out in my journal! The sugar leaves are purpling and some parts of the bud and I don't think its bud rot lol. The inner part of the bud looks A-okay and under a 60x microscope it doesn't look nasty or rotten. Is it possible the bagseed is indeed from a purple strain? I've read lower temps will cause bud to turn purple other than genetics, but my grow has been between 74-85 mostly. Some spikes of 90ish here and there on hotter days. Check out the pic. You can't see the purple in the bud too well in that picture but I will update tonight when lights go on
Looks awesome! I've read that the big temp swings are what cause a majority of the purple. So it sounds and looks like the 90 degree spikes might have helped the purple nurple Keep growing till the wheels fall off!!!
Hey, don't doubt bag seed. The first outdoor grow I ever did was bagseed and it turned out craaazy dank, even though the buds were a little airy. Turned out it was Blue Dream x Purple Diesel. It started to do something really similar during bloom. Can't see the purple on the buds there either, but it was there. Purple tipped calyxes all over the place.
I'm starting to see a trend here. I got some blue dream bagseed also. The buds were slightly airy but made up for it in volume that's for sure. Since it's a clone only strain it's crossed with who knows what but I'm beginning to get a hint of purple in there as well. I'm really hoping it's crossed with purple goo or something similar. Excited to see how this turns out
I see dead/yellowing leaves in the pic. Insects love to lay thier eggs on those things. Check em and or remove them. Your bud looks delish. Thanks for posting!
