Bag seed??

Discussion in 'First Time Marijuana Growers' started by triump, Jan 30, 2007.

  1. What is bagseed and what is the difference between bagseed and other types of seed.

    Thanks

  2. bagseed is the seeds you get when you buy from dealers the other type is from seed banks

seed banks are higher quality than bagseeds but bagseeds are good for beginners to learn from mistakes

  3. you put that well

  4. Do you have examples of dealers and seed banks?

How about High Grade seeds? Are they dealers or a seed bank.

    Thanks

  5. English isn't your first language, is it? :p

Bagseed is the seeds you would find in a bag of marijuana you buy from your dealer. Since marijuana containing seeds is usually low quality, the seeds will produce less potent buds. (won't get you as high). They also have a lower chance of growing.

High grade seeds would be the seeds you buy from a seed bank. Go to the "Seed Bank" section of these forums if you want to find a place to buy seeds.
Seeds from a seed bank generally have a higher chance of growing, and produce better bud.

If it is your first grow, then you should use bag seed, because you will probably mess up somewhere along the line.

    Hope I helped.

  6. Thank you very much.

    You definitely cleared that up.

    Now I feel stupid.

I thought bag seed were those variety packs you can get. :)

  7. Sorry folks, a bit of misinformation here. Yes, bagseed is any unidentified seed you get from a bag. That does not mean it is of lower quality than buying genetics. MJ with seeds just means it was pollinated -- hey, where do you think all those "higher quality" seeds come from? Being pollinated does not affect the genetics, in fact it is the plant's method of passing along its genetics. A lot of commercial growers got the seeds for their grows from the same seedbanks.

If the bagseed comes from crappy weed then it probably will grow crappy weed. But if the smoke was killer then you probably can grow plants from those seeds that are equal or even better because you will be starting with the same genetics as the original smoke plus you probably will be providing it better conditions and care than a big commercial grower gave to the one plant that begat your bag.

Agree that bagseed is a good place for a newbie to start and get some experience (and some smoke). If you want to buy seeds, two reliable seedbanks are Doc Chronic and Gypsy Nirvana, they ship stealth to the US. Check out the Seedbank forum here at GC for more info.

  8. My first grow was bagseed from some real nice stuff I had found 12 seeds in the whole bag, germed them all, ended up with three females and some of the best smoke ive ever had, been smoking 25 years.....I dont know if I will ever order seeds...
good luck man... and hes right! first grow, mistakes will happen....

  9. yea but if you can get some good shit for a good deal you can get some good seeds i got seeds from rhino and chronic bagseed. and have a dub of kush and widow with seeds ive yet to get out. all good plants. hopefully good seeds. im never going to order seeds to big of a risk

  10. new cop??

    self explanitory

  11. yeah just cause it's bagseed doesn't mean its shite. If the herb was good then the seeds will grow good plants.

Mexican brickweed is where I got my seeds. It was brickweed but I saw the plants that the bricks were made of. They were awesome. Towering, thick, STANKY plants. The bricking process shatters resin glands and THC molecules. But nonetheless it was good weed. The only problem is that they are a bit stretchy since they have competed for generations for light. But I can prune them accordingly.
