Bad reaction to vaping weed

Discussion in 'Vaporizers' started by CJHissle, Apr 20, 2018.

  1. Hey guys, I'm new to this forum so any answers will help a lot. I've been smoking for some years and never had any issues with side effects or feeling bad until now. I was sick during the time and was prescribed Tylenol severe cold and flu. I took the pill some minutes before smoking and was fine. Some minutes go by (about 25ish minutes) and I had a crazy panic attack trip. My heart was racing and I was shaking scared out of my life. This lasted for about 4 hours. At some points it felt like my body was going numb on the left and right side back and forth. It finally died out and I was calm and fell asleep. Every time I smoke or vape now I get the same feeling of panic and pain in my chest and left arm. My pinky and ring finger are also stiff from that event but I can still move them. I mentioned it to my doctor and they said it's fine. I have scoliosis and a shoulder injury which may have played s part in that from what the doctor said but I don't believe that. I stopped smoking for months and record to smoke/vape again. I was fine until yesterday. I smoked and had the same nervous effect. I invested in CBD weed with no THC and I'm fine smoking that. Do you think the medicine had a bad reaction with the weed and caused damage to my body? And no, the weed wss not laced. Please help!

  2. This is what weed will do its strong shit so you have to be very careful with it.

Are you getting the weed medical legally through your doctor or is the weed of the streets?

If your getting the weed through your doctor maybe talk to him asking him if it is really right for you. If you are getting it off the streets then it's even tougher then it's your own decision if you should stop.

  3. It's from my plug which is a really close good friend of mine. He researches the strain as well so he knows what he's selling. I've smoked that strain MANY of times and never had a reaction like that before.

  4. Well if you don't like the reaction don't take it.

I take it for these reasons for the reaction it gives so I guess you could say I'm a recreational smoker of the cannabis lol.

Anyway I'm 3 days into a tolerance break so I can save a bit of cash and I'm already feeling better.

I don't see why some people use cannabis as a medicine in my eyes it's a recreational drug just like doing other drugs like coca in and shit like that.... obviously it's no where near as strong as a line of coke lol.

But yeah weed is a bit of fun in most guys eyes or some guys have just got into bad habits of doing it everyday for years. You don't wanna end up that way.

  5. Yea, I use it recreationally all the time and never had issues till now tbh. I gave cbd weed a try since all I smoked was high thc level weeds with little to no cbd. I also looked up weed mixed with the medicine I used and all the forums had no effect like how I did. Everyone was fine but I know everyone's body is different of course. I never had anxiety from smoking weed till now as well. I can stop with no hesitation cuz I've done it multiple times (stopped for months). I'm just curious as to why I had that effect from smoking. It's really crazy cuz I love smoking/vaping weed lol.

  6. Yeah but it's bad for you

And that's what it does if you smoke it everyday. Eventually if you keep on the way you are going you will be dependent on weed and you will be gagging to get that fix if your mates have got weed and you haven't.

And it can cause all sorts of shit depending on what you are like as a person like make you a slow thinker, make you have a fit, pass out, and you may notice the weed isn't fun as it used to be.

This last bit is important now....if you are noticing the weed is not as fun as it used to be then you need to stop for like a week. I don't know your business or what your habits are I take it you are a daily user. But yeah if it's no fun anymore knock it on the head for a week and you'll notice you'll be a bit richer for doing it.

  7. I used to smoke a good amount last year but stopped for the summer since I was working. I was totally fine. I've never had withdrawal effects because I've never been addicted to it or needed a quick fix for it. There have been days where I wanted to smoke cuz I was bored but that would be rare. I smoked a couple days ago from a 3 month stop and was fine until last night. The day I smoked after the long wait I had no bad side effects at all. I didn't smoke the next day because I just didn't want to. I smoked yesterday and I had that same feeling in my fingers like I stated above but had no chest pains or the crazy trip. I'm not sure if my body can't tolerate THC anymore or if there's a medical issue with me that causes the bad reaction. But to make it clear, I'm not addicted to it and stopped on many occasions to clean my system and to just take a break lol.

  8. Yeah you sound pretty good about everything so my guess it's the opposite to me it's not like me where you smoked it a lot and you noticed these feeling get worse over time it's because you have had such a long break and you only just did it again.

  9. Yea. Like when I stopped smoking for the whole summer, I went ahead and smoke a joint and was totally fine after those months. I'm thinking my nerves get to me when I try vaping or smoking again due to that scary trip I had. Still not sure as to why my fingers feel different now though. I know for a fact I didn't have a heart attack or stroke lol. When I went to the doctors, they said my heart and everything looked and sounded really good. The only thing they saw was my vitamin D level was low (get thst from my mom side) and the shoulder injury.

  10. The trouble with me is I've seen worse trips on magic mushrooms because I used to go picking them for all my friends I know a really good mushroom spot ha ha anyway yeah when I do weed and sometimes after 3 or 4 bowls of the pipe I'd get the feeling you get and I'd know the weed has kicked in and I'll be like yeah man ha ha. But it's not a good thing too much of it and eventually you could get dependent on the shit you don't know....

  11. Lol. And yea, very true. I got a couple friends who are dependent on it. Like EXTREMELY dependent on it to where they can't function throughout the day. They get mad when they have to wait to smoke.

  12. Yeah it's shit and say for example if you got dependent on it and you you know your mate has got a bit of weed you will be pestering and pestering him all day long like "are you gonna roll a j now man" ha ha and it just makes you look uncool if you keep needing it. But that doesn't sound like you lol you just sound like you felt a funny feeling when you smoked it which is perfectly normal and you've said you seen the doc so that's good.

  13. That example is literally how my friends were last night lmao. It's annoying but I don't pay them any mind. And yea, I noticed when I vaped my CBD dominate weed, I was perfectly fine so I may just have to stay on that route from now on.

  14. The OP has many medical issues going on and we have so little information on him I just don't see anyway to handout medical advice. If we had access to him, his medical history and the required medical expertise and services it would be different, but we don't.

  15. If youre have issues with pain, and tingling on your left side when you smoke, Id have my heart checked.

  16. I did get it checked and the doctors said everything looked and sound fine. I know for a fact the symptoms weren't in my head so idk what it could have been.

You had a stress test? Bloodwork? Cardiologist vs GP?? GP told my buddy he was OK, and he went straight to the ER, and they admitted him right then, and the next day he had 5 way Bypass.
Buddy was having Left Jaw, and Arm Pain.:popcorn::popcorn::confused_2::confused_2: They gave him a Stress Test in the ER, and he was on the machine 10 seconds, and they told him on the spot, he wasn't leaving the hospital.

Not saying your Drs are wrong. Just something to think about.

Could also be the weed is causing panic attack, which is causing your muscles to contract, the panic attack can cause your body to go into fight, or flight when their is no danger ect, and its causing muscle contractions/rigidity, and if you have any pinched nerves to go along with those issues, I could see where your fingers ect could be affected.
Inflamed Muscles surrounding the Acromio-Clavicular Joint, Tendon, Ligament Inflammation Inside/surrounding the the AC Joint, could easily be set of by upper torso muscle contractions, which can affect your fingers.

PS. I'm not a PHD, but I do play one on the internet.:love-mj2::weed::hookah::yay::yay::ey::ey::ey::ey::wacko::wacko::wacko::jump::jump::metal::metal::eek2::eek2::eek2:

  18. Wow, that was extremely helpful! I got bloodwork and an EKG scan and the results came back fine and dandy. I do have scoliosis and lean a little to my left but a pinched nerve was never detected.

  19. The nerves that innervate your fingers, runs through the AC Joint.

    Nerves and Vessels
The shoulder plays a key role in the blood flow to the arms. The armpit and shoulder serve as the meeting place for the torso and arms, so major vessels close to the heart travel through these areas.

Nerves in the shoulder carry the brain signals that move the arms and also sense pain, touch, heat, and cold.

Three major nerves pass through the shoulder before terminating in the hand. They collect sensory information and return it to the brain, which sends out appropriate responses, such as alerting the body to extreme heat and quickly pulling the arm away from it.

    • Ulnar nerve: This nerve runs through the shoulder and is just under the skin at the elbow’s “funny bone” (a knob on the humerus).
    • Radial nerve: This nerve supplies the triceps and wrist extensors. Its branches cover most of the back of the hand beginning at the wrist.
    • Median nerve: This nerve branches down into the hand where it serves the thumb, index, and middle finger. It is also the only nerve that passes through the carpal tunnel.
    • Musculocutaneous nerve: This nerve supplies various parts of the upper arm, including the flexor muscles and the skin of the forearm.
