so my latest plants have been having a couple of issues. first off let me hit you with some information: temp ranging 60-75F and 25-65 % humidity. Room is running a 1000W MH and 180W flowering LED Blackstar-. lights run 18/6. genetics: Skywalker Kush. Plants are all nearing a foot, just starting up side branches. been using 10-15-10 as well as H&G roots exelurator. 5Gal Air pots. foxfarm organic ocean mist. So my problem is all the skywalkers' upper leaves' sides are curling upwards and inwards. And my other new related problem that just appeared today is the starting of an orange-like burn slash/es on a few most upper leaves. Besides these two symptoms the plants are very healthy, very green. What's causing this up and inwards curling and small orange sections. Only thing i can think of is maybe they're 6inches to close to the 1000W..? This is the first time I've seen this specific problem. Pictures coming asap, should have them up within the hour. Please don't comment if you don't know what your talking about. Help much appreciated.
re: transistor what have you been feeding it. how often Hey Transistor, I've been feeding it shultz plant food plus (outdoor plant dosage so the equivalent of 22 drops per gallon as well as House and Gardens Roots excelurator 1.1ml per gallon. Been watering them every 3-5 days depending on how quickly they dry up. I use 2 gallons between 6 plants. sometimes 2.5-3 since the airpots have higher runoff before reaching full rootmass. Its hard to see in the pictures, but I just took another look at the plants and the orange scratching on the leaves(some but not all circled in picture), and it pretty much looks like they're soon-to-die in said spots. like the little patches in the middle of the leaf are decomposing or disintegrating slowly or something. \t\t \t\t \t\t \t\t \t\t \t\t \t\t \t\t \t \t \t\t \t \t \t \t \t\t \t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t
Never feed the dose the manufacturer says.Start at 1/2 or less recommeneded. Looks to be nute burn or some type of PH fluxuation/lockout.I would guess burn.
I used double to triple the listed dosage last season and never encountered nute burn that's why I didn't think it was that.. but these are still kinda small so I guess it could be. I'll check the pH and flush them I suppose. They've been having odd problems all their lives though. I had to use azamax on them aswell at like a month old and sometimes their leaves droop hardcore (i know not from overwater because its when a new leafset comes out whether or not the soil is damp or dry) the leaf-stem wont support the new leaf. All of these skywalker's leaves seem overly big so maybe yeah nute burn it could be... but this is the first sign of it and theyve always been on this feeding schedule
Last year you were feeding the same exact plant seeds?Because that matters. And yes they are a bit small. I say it a lot. Your plants will tell you when they need food. Not by lower yellowing growth, but newer growth will start to go light green/yellowish when in need of nitro in veg for instance. If you flush, and give it a week.or two.I bet new growth will look right again. I mentioned PH because the of the curling leaves. It may also happen with burn, but not sure on that.
last year i was feeding bigger plants 50 drops of the shultz+ per gallon during veg. and never experienced burn.different strain and different size. vs these small ones using ~22 drops per gallon. is what i was saying. I hope you are right and it's only burn though xD xP
I've seen strains that take a lot of nutes, and others that even a small feeding will burn them a little. Completely dependent on strain/plant.
