I saw a recent documentary where it was stated banks can't engage in commerce because of federal laws. This is why pharmaceutical companies don't sell MJ. This is the only reason small businesses are doing so well because it's all profit with no corporate market. If and when it is legal on a federal level and pharm industry starts selling then I think we're in big trouble. The pharms have been perfecting cannabis for over 40 years. They can make it cheaper and more potent. Why would consumers buy lesser quality for more money? Not to mention the tobacco companies who will cross breed tobacco and bud...Marlboro greens. In my opinion not legalizing on fed level is a very good thing. Once that happens many growers will be on their way out of the business and the industry will be changed forever. I see your point. but it's the board game of risk. it depends when it is federally legal and how built up the current market is.
That just doesn't make sense. Federal prohibition of cannabis hurts everyone, including dispensaries. Every day, they are liable to be shut down by the feds, with all of their money and assets seized and potential jail time. That's not right. Other businesses don't have this fear. And they're not allowed to use banks, so where do you expect them to store their cash?Dispensaries are benefiting from strict state laws against home cultivation and aren't always compassionate themselves. Federal prohibition also makes it very hard and costly for researchers to research the medical benefits of marijuana. Plus it really fucks over the consumer the most because of the legality issues. If you live in a medical state, and can't/don't grow, then you are at the whim of dispensaries, who in my area charge $50+ for 8ths. We've had enough of prohibition. It doesn't work!
I can't get any of my other medications for that cheap so I consider that a bargain. That's the reason it's not being mass produced yet too, besides the legal thing, there isn't any money in making a marijuana medication, it would never be a better deal than just buying the weed.
Get better insurance. $50 an eighth every few days is way more expensive then my $5 to $8 co-pay. Even throw in the price of my insurance its still much cheaper unless you can make an 1/8th last all month. Don't get me wrong I want cannabis legalized but I don't ever see it happening. I am glad you can afford it but I personally don't consider $50 an 8th a bargain. I think businesses should charge whatever they want, but home cultivation should be legal so that people who don't want to pay the prices can provide for themselves. My point is that federal prohibition shouldn't exist. More competition would drive down prices. If one can't make money in a pot shop that's their problem.
Terrible Points. If it is legal Federally, you will be able to grow your own cannabis and not worry about any of the stuff you said. It absolutely baffles me when people don't want it Federally legal. Federally illegal gives the government the option to still go in and close down legitimate shops as well as you can get fired from your job testing positive for THC in a legal state. Federal Prohibition needs to end, period.
Your right, what if those people not wanting prohibition to be over are paid off? People are polluting the planet with fossil fuels and trying to prevent biodegradable energy from being cheap to make with Hemp that could be cheap! there is a lot of bribery so that wouldn't surprise me, corporate or government agents may be trolling online forums promoting the licensing scheme and discouraging ending prohibition. I've noticed some people against cannabis and with medical marijuana licenses act like they are entitled and deserve more and people basically ignore effort to end prohibition, some people act like its better than nothing but if it is then why do people give up when it comes to ending prohibition? A lot of people got involved promoting the licensing scheme that smoked weed or did not, popular people on youtube make videos "showing" people how to sign up for a license and not end prohibition! people may trying to maintain cannabis high price for the organized crime cartels that end up lobbying government to keep prohibition! Even people who smoke weed and do drugs call people who smoke weed and do drugs drug addicts because a there are plenty of people who lie to girls try and hide it. I find it messed up I've heard guys at bars talking to girls tell girls I'm all fucked up on drugs while they are high on cocaine and drugs that actually kill a lot of people! Isn't that backwards? Criminals can order meat at a bar and don't want cannabis to be cheaper than meat, guess who the government protects? I've heard too many guys make threats of violence at me at bars to not say anything...cannabis activists get suppressed by society. People who eat meat make fun of me and call me stupid, people know ive been trying to end cannabis prohibition. people admitted they want to be a burden on the system! Some don't think pot is normal, polluting the planet with fossil fuels and preventing cannabis plants from healing the environment is not normal, eating meat is bad for peoples health while cannabis heals sick people, this needs to be in the public discussion yet the media are silent as if they are owned by poison industries! It sucks some people who smoke weed hear information about meat eating and feel threatened as if im threatening their way of life for talking how cannabis can be cheaper than meat! Lots of people claim people gotta eat, yeah exactly why do people ignore how hemp food could be cheaper than meat! There is no more wondering what is going on, people have been intentionally sabotaging the truth movement to try and prevent prohibition from ending, sometimes in favor of people trying to get limited business legalized! prohibition could have been over by now and people are still trying to ignore the truth.
