Bad Anxiety from Poppers

Discussion in 'Marijuana Consumption Q&A' started by IN10SIVE, Nov 23, 2012.

  1. Recently I've experienced some terrible anxiety and depression for almost no reason. It's the first time, I've ever experienced anything like this and it's been going on once a week or more often since it first happened 3 weeks ago. It only comes up if I'm alone, and usually when I'm low on weed/cigarettes, meaning I can't smoke as much as I wanted to or might not be able to in the near future. I hit multiple [10+ minimum but I don't count] poppers (tobacco and weed together) constantly throughout the day all day every day. Could my anxiety be related to the poppers? I can answer more questions if there's a specific detail I'm missing out that might be important just ask.

  2. Mind over matter my friend.

  3. I hate being alone, I let my emotions and thoughts get the worst of me.
It's not the poppers man, see a shrink, it might help.
Or maybe it won't, they've never really done much for me. :confused_2:

  4. They've never helped me either. Pills don't work, shrinks don't work....

    oh well, fuck it

  5. Yeah I didn't think it was the poppers either at least not completely, but I was being paranoid and thought they might be a factor. I feel the same way about shrinks as you guys though, I don't like them, I've seen one before about something unrelated and it didn't help

  6. That would be nicotine withdrawal... Smoke pure herb.

  7. Shrinks come and go here all the time and I find myself repeating my life, feelings, mental illnesses and situation to new shrinks all the time. It got too annoying, I gave up. Pills are the worst, you become dependant on the seratonin and whatever else your getting from your meds so when you're taken off them you lose your bloody mind. For example, I was recently taken off these sleeping pills that I've been on since i was like 8 and now it's almost impossible for me to sleep. So they replaced them with a fucking anti-psychotic that they called a "mood stabiliser" to help me settle down at night. So many damn pills I'm losing my memory. If you ask me, you should never get involved with prescription drugs, unless for some reason you absolutely have to. If you do, make sure you do your research because some can do alot more harm than good.

  8. Smiles -- lots of them.

  9. He's right. Your body has become addicted to it and because you're not smoking as many as before. Give it time, it is a mind over matter thing. Start smoking just herb.

  10. I'd say this is probably the problem right here.

Also the more you adulterate your weed with tobacco, the more ill effects you will get, cravings and anxiety when you don't have it...it's become a crutch for you.
Just smoke green and deal without it, you're only putting yourself in a bad place, and until you purify a little you'll never really *know* this.

  11. Just stay positive man. I used to have really bad anxiety, then I just started seeing something good in every situation. Now I'm the happiest person my friends know. It's not easy, but you can do it. Just believe in yourself. Believe that you can. Always think to yourself "todays gonna be a good day".

  12. yikes. just take a long break and go back to it. good luck!

  13. Yeah, already I suspect I put myself in a pretty bad place, so I'm going to try and get myself off the batch and go back to pure green.

Thanks for the support dude, I know you're right because usually I can only snap out of the anxiety by talking to someone close, or forcing myself to relax and think positive (which again, you're right, is not easy to do but is totally necessary)

  15. You can do it man, just ease it off.

  16. Hope I'm not too late on this. Iv been smoking poppers for a long time now. I know what you mean man. I usually rip through 30+ a day. Around the time I picked up the habit was when the woman I loved more than anything in the world started treating me like a stranger. I don't always smoke alone. But my thoughts are a constant turmoil. I recently was able to quit for 10 days, and those were some of the best days I had in a while. Fast forward two weeks. I'm in a hole again, I can't get her off of my mind. It's driving me crazy. She was my best friend and I fell in love with her. I told her and she didn't accept me, we were able to stay friends for a little while after but she hasn't really spoken to me in over six months. I don't know what to do man.
