Construction has started in my back yard, to build a spot for myself and my friends to chill out, smoke, drink, smoke, and just relax. I'll post the progress as it progresses. For about 2 months, me and my friends during our smoke sessions have been talking about a place where we could relax. At first we were just going to build a few benches, and place them in the back, and have a place where we could have a small fire in the center. Well that evolved into what is being worked on right now. We have a circle, roughly 12 feet in diameter. It's dug down, between 6-8 inches. Once the hole is done to our liking, we will throw some liner down, and fill it with sand. We are going to build some benches, throw them in the sand. In the center we are still planning to have something that we can have fires in whether it be a 'fire bowl' or like a 'chimnea'. We are already planning on developing the area up more with some flowers, shrubbery, or trees. Stone path to the area, and we are still just setting our ideas out there. Sounds awesome man. Post pics all the way through the process- it might spark some ideas from other people. A suggestion right off the top of my head is to see if you can build a little cabinet that is covered from rain where you can put a computer or iPod and hook it up to some good speakers. Nothing better than smoking and listening to some good tunes right next to a fire.
I've done things like this, like I just built a blacked out glow-in-the-dark table for my hooka. It definitely is satisfying working with your hands.
