just going to dump photos in here and see if I receive any feedback.

I’m a first time grower so I welcome any and all advise ! Should I do anything for these bugs eating the leafs a little? On my other plant it just stopped after time. Should I do something like neem?

  3. Hahaha I am jealous too. I seem to be taking more and more “breaks” from working remotely right now. I just want to keep going back there to join their “tanning session” hahaha

  4. Those with more than one in a pot aren't going to be happy for long. They will likely get root bound.

  5. Much agreed ! Since I am a newbie those with multiple plants are to test out topping methods and some other LST. Figured I’d save some cash on soil and double up. The two 2 gallons with doubles were actually germinated by planting directly to soil and the others were germinated with other methods. So once I figure out the basis (on a first hand basis) I can do well with the remaining 3 seeds I purchased.

They’re auto flowers and I read there’s not much time to fix mistakes for autos. So hopefully I can learn with these and grow the good genetics out well.

(The 3 gallon tan smartpot and 2g air pot are my two auto flowers right now! Wish me luck)

I’m pretty curious too also see how long the one single plant takes to root bound before the other single plant in a two gallon.

When in doubt try everything right hahah? I’m also curious how long those ones in the final photo will last. I’m just playing around with seeds hahaha - I love all the knowledge I’m getting

  7. Woah there’s some research. Powdery Mildew, hmm. Is that what I have going on in my pics ?

Here’s a close up of another plant that has what I thought were bug bites.

Do I have some WPM (learned a new acronym!!!) going on, on the big plant? I will need to take action! I’ll have to run outside and check it out now that I’ve read about this a little.

    Thanks for the info boss

  8. I’ve also kinda ruled those yellow circles as water spot magnification burn. I don’t see it spreading.

Am I on to the right chain of though there or maybe something more serious?

  9. Neither are apparent but eventually all outside plants get both PM and Caterpillars. Household baking soda can be used in place of Cure. It's not as good being sodium based but better then uncontrolled PM. Cure is what is used on grapes for Powdery Mildew. Potassium Bicarbonate.

Start to acquire your IPM (integrated pest management) tools now and you won't need to scramble for it later.

A small 1 quart hand pump sprayer since you don't need a gallon of spray at a time. Cure or Soda and a bottle of BT to start spraying when the buds start forming. A low power bug zapper helps as well.

Moths and the caterpillars they plant the eggs for in our cannabis can wreak havoc on your buds and make them unusable.
Only mix what you need and can use fresh eash time. Partial filled tank when plants are small and you only need a few ounces of spray. Don't leave unused liquid in sprayer. Spray anything left over on roses or ??? it's all very mild and will cause no damage on yard plants. Rinse sprayer and leave disassembled to dry for next use.

  11. Online or a hydroponic store for the green cure. The small container is about $15.00

Most Garden centers should carry BT. It's strictly for caterpillars and used on tomatoes extensively.
    ======================================
Thuricide Bacillus Thuringiensis (Bt) Outdoor Insecticide/Pesticide Liquid Concentrate. A liquid formulation of bacteria that controls caterpillars, loopers, cabbageworms, hornworms, leaf folders and leaf rollers. Designed to protect vegetables, fruits, nuts, shade trees and ornamentals.
    ======================================

Several companies sell it so the label may not match but it is all the same stuff.

It only kills caterpillars and only after they have eaten some leaf. It's a mild as product as is possible and still do the job.
Soon destroyed by sunlight it needs weekly application to remain effective.

Def starting to see some more issues on these leaves.

I’m really having a hard time figuring out what they are. It doesn’t have me too concerned really.

None of this looks like calcium right? That doesn’t seem like it could be it.. unless there’s some ph lockout going on and the fox farm being nutrient rich for seedlings. Idk

I know when I was watering my other plants I got some water on these seedlings by accident too. I kind of thought I also burned these. But this morning looking worse

There’s also different type of leaf issues. I see yellow circles. I see small brown circles. I even have a couple with the smallest of holes.

Hmm this is def going to be a good learning experience as this issue develops.

  13. Outside is a different game. Things stop by and take a bite and keep crawling. You can look at the underside but all to often the eater has moved on to a new spot. You learn to accept some occasional damage as a non issue.

My own yard was well naturalized and I found I needed a minimum of things to keep my plants clean. Lots of native Ladybugs and Praying Mantis keep everything but PM and Caterpillars under control.

The other side of the coin is to go full on nuclear on every insect nibble you see and pull out the big guns like Spinosad, Essential oils and Neem.

I've done it both ways and I'm a lot more laid back and less fussy then I was in the past. I'm more of a minimalist now and do just enough to insure a clean crop. I'm the only one who's standards I have to meet anyway.

danggg not the smallest of pest either !
I have a few types of bugs going on. Even saw a caterpillar.

I’ve been doing some LST with fan leaves and their overlapping will create moisture spots under the leafs. So that’s going to be a good grow area for the mildew. And now I’ve visibly seen a caterpillar

just affirms what you’re saying I gotta be prepared

  16. Well this is a nice view

  20. F15B272A-F238-44A9-BB28-647BADFAC11E.jpeg AF15753B-9569-4759-9B68-A1B5BA444BC5.jpeg I think it’s really cool how the four weeds know they’re growing close to each other. You can see in how they’re stretching they’re avoiding one another to maximize light. You can see how the back right one is growing taller and front one bends. The front right one is stretching backwards to reach the light at an angel. Really cool stuff

autos are coming along nicely as well.

going to be topping test soon once I get to the the 6th node I’ll top and FIM at the 4th. I’ll let one grow natural. And then I’m going to LST the fourth only no HST. Hopefully 3g of soil will be enough for all four. It should be a fun test if I can make it work and even get half an Oz of Bud per plant.
