avb vs raw buds for cooking

Discussion in 'Weed Edibles' started by jayfoxpox, Oct 26, 2012.

  1. So I'm thinking of using avb for cooking , but I wanted to know how the flavor compares to using raw buds.

1)What's a reasonable amount of thc would an avb have compared to raw gram for gram? 0.3? probably varies alot I ,but lets say a dark brown avb
2)If I cook the avb in something wet , will it retain it's roughness like oregano or will it kinda get mushy?
    3) which has a stronger taste if making cannabutter?

  2. Cook with it and tell us

  3. 1. I would at minimum double what you would normally use with raw buds

    2. Its the same exact as herb as long as your avb isnt straight black lol

    3. I use coconut oil(absorbs thc better than butter and taste better) but I have noticed my raw bud edibles have a little stronger taste but I can still definitely taste the abv meds. I vape with a volcano though so im not sure if it will be exactly the same. My avb oil also still comes out green even though its dark brown at first.

Add lecithin to increase potency(search for badkitty recipes) if your not sure what it is and does

  4. You happen to have a link to one of her butter recipes? I want to how much lecithin I should include with the weed then divide that by half for avb.
