hello everyone just starting to set up a new auto flower closet in my place wanted to start out with a auto flower strain for my first grow i guess i can start to list off the parts i ordered and have gotten 2 days ago. 2x4x6 grow tent 4" carbon filter 4" inline centrifuge fan 400W HPS/MH grow light system seed starting kit 4" ducting 8 foot with clamps heavy duty timer temp/hydro gage i ordered from attitude seed bank Royal Automatic Feminized x5 also ordered 5 fem WWxbigbudd but that will be after i finish these autoflower
here is a pic i just took of the set up so far all i need to hook up is the inline fan once it comes in the mail everything else is set up and ready to go kinda funny new's i looked in my spare room in my appartment at there is a 5 inch round hole that go's into the roof mybe someone was growing once befor. i have lived here for 5 years and i dident put the hole there but im sure gonna use to for the exust will be posting more pics once i start the grow and more pic's of the fan and exust set up
its gonna get way hot in there with a 400 with no air cooling. but its a great setup and youll be getting some nice shizz. invest in some c02 and youll get some fat harvests
ya im not gonna be able to start tell i get the inline fan in the mail. i also just got a 4 inch duct booster you just cant see it down on the side for intake cool air. i ran the light today for about a hour the temp maxed out at 85 inside the tent and the temp out side was 65. anyone know if the temp will come down just hookin the inline up to my carbon its a 170cfm centrifuge inline. or will i have to buy a cooled light hood as you can see from the pic im gonna be pulling air through the filter to the outside of the tent and exusted into the roof of the closet. also how many plants should i grow and what should the final pot size be. i was thinking 5 plants in 4 gallon pots for the final transplant pot any input would be nice . thanks for the post pigpen.
Is that a sun-hut? I just started with a 4X2 as well. Ive posted some pics of my setup already. i'm curious if you have any more details pics of your setup. really curious to see how everything is tied in, etc. it looks real nice!
ya i can post some more pic's of close ups on the parts 24 x 48 x 60 inches. 100% Reflective Mylar Hydroponics Grow Tent, Non Toxic Hydro Dark Room Cabinet Box Hut, GYO1009 is the tent i got so how i mounted the carbon filter like that was i got a L bracket and used metal hose clamps to clamp it to the back pole. so it would support the bottem of the carbon filter then i just used the 4 foot bungies to keep it from moveing . the little black wire that comes down is the temp/hum probe that sits out side the tent on top the the shelf with the balest for the light and soon the be the inline fan . when that comes in the male. i also need to buy 2 light hangers so i can move the light up and down. right now i just got them gheto rigged with wire so i wont heat up or anyhting like that. and no that is not rust on my light hood some odd refection of my foot or something. i looked at it after i took the pic .. clean as clean.
ok im confused a bit.. i went over to my buddys house and he almost have the same set up size mounting all that. well no wonder i set it up yesterday but he got a 1000W hps light i got the 400W hps both from the same company. it just seems like at full power my 400W light puts off way way way more light i mean its all most blinding inside the tent. his seems like half the power of mine but is a 1000W also my 400W makes almost no noise i mean when its running you have to put your ear up to it . just to hear it and its a light hum

looking good man, i wish i could of done this with my first grow. a diy cooled hood is actually very easy with the reflector you have. or you can make a diy cool tube both are pretty damn easy. when you have either of those in there the little intake fan will be enough to exhaust the hot air from the light. and you can continue to use the inline with the scrubber, then your limits are basically your imagination lol. you can do any time of setup in there but i would do a like 4 plant vertical with a cool tube hanging in the center and the chicken wire around it to act as a screen. so much tree come out of vertical grows lol.
Looks sick bro!! Why such a big carbon filter though? I only ask because I have almost the same tent(I promise ill put up pics soon) and I'm using one that's half the size. It's what was recommended to me. I usually go overkill and was gonna get a bigger one but was told it wasn't necessary for that size.
Hey Malfest I have the same sized tent also with a 400w MH/HPS lighting system. It gets hot in there even with a 4 inch inline fan. Mine is also air cooled and temps will stay at a constant 81 or lower with the door zipped up. If yours isn't air cooled then I believe you might have some heat control problems. Q&A sk8freak269 thanks for the info. ya im gonna be lookin into the cooled light hood. soon. funding kinda ran up atm. matumbo normaly when i order it . it said it was a 4inch 15 inches long LIE on amazon's part. but soon im gonna go for a 8 foot x 8 foot and get a few more lights and another inline really depends after this first grow. im use to growing outside. during the summer . gonna be sad to see smaller harvest but . its much safer. Update my seeds made it past customs and is on its way to my offsite shipping address. and i placed my order with HTG for the 200cfm inline centrifual fan. also ran another temp test with my buddys inline fan hooked up his is only a 4inch 150cfm test was 5 hours temp inside tent" 75-79 at the highest temp outside tent 65 steady for the whole 5 hours. i think it may have moved up .5 humd inside tent 49.5 humd outside tent 57,7 WTF is that about could be i took a shower during the test at my meter picked up on it. using the intake fan dropped iand the exust fan made the temps more stable. was my results. once i start the grow going to be adding 1 8 inch fans for air movement in and around the space. i wish i had a way to test air presser in the tent cuz when i kick on the intake fan and turn it on high the tent kinda balloons untell the exuest fan kicks in. maybe i just have really good airflow. why my temps are down. with out a cooled hood. but soon as i get the cash for it. im buying one.

ok i placed my order for my fan again something messed up with the first order. so i went ahead on got it from htgsupply its there 170cfm 4" inline centerfaugle for 75 bucks. and some fox farms nutes got the 2 pack monster grow and big bloom i also picked up some stuff that i might need watering can soilles mix organic 6 3 gallon nusry pots black with watering trays and a PH tester just a cheapy kit ones. red drinking cups
+++++update update update+++ the bean's are coming the bean's are coming i got my bean's blown out today. all my seeds came both orders even my lost one from 2 months ago. and the autoryal are gonna be nice. i started germin them today in my germ starting staion and the fan and nutes are coming in the mail. tomarow so today i went to the local grow shop. picked up some Vermiculite peat moss Perlite and some bags of this soil i use to use when i worked in a greenhouse not weed tho. just plants. called black gold 0.5 0 0 i added a 5 gallon bucket and put in the black gold then added 5 cups of each to the mix. give it a little more fluffyness to it. and i got some nice pots for the plants ill get some pics up dam i could not find any other pots over 3 gallon no nursry.or anything home depot nod da buy yes yes grow pic porn coming
day 1 first 24 hours seeds are sittin at 75deg on a heat mat on a plate with paper towls damp. 4 of the 5 seeds have split and are about as long as the seed is i would say nother 24 hours to 40 hours and they will be ready to go into the soil mix. and into the humd dome and into the tent.. the fan is mega mega loud then i thought it was gonna be so i had to dip into my funds and order a fanspeed controller and some other items i would need. but the fan is crazy and moves a ton of air.
ok the other 2 have poped and are going into soil today i have to clean my other room out cuz the closed is building up to much heat inside the room. inside the tent has been holding 79-81 all night long never higher then 81. hum has been at 50 all night. thats with everything running and closet up. Pic's soon once i move the grow into the other bedroom. were the room is much colder.
well everything is going good so far .. still waiting on the beans to sprout so the temp is around 78-81 during its daylight hours and 69-70 in its sleepy time. with light off i have it set to 18/6 and the little fellas are sitting in party cups with damp soil not to wet. in a humd dome.
ok some pic's with out the hum dome on how i hooked up the inline fan. makes it super easy to move the tent. if i have to. and dosent seem to cut back on airflow or cooling i tryed it both ways outside the tent and in. saw it on pigpens set up befor he changed it. and yes the air is sucking through the filter and a diy muffler for the exhust seems to cut the noise down by about 15% and dosent really mess up the cooling. or airflow that much. still getting the amount of packing peanuts just right but thats all the new stuff for now im hopeing to get some sprouting soon and dam this 400W light is beast. when i open the tent at night its like Jesus is trying to get out.
