Hello! So here' s the situation- I will be away for aprox 2 weeks and I dont know what to do with my plants (at the time I will leave, they will be 3 weeks old). In my opinion the biggest pain would be water. Is there any way to build some dripping system that would do? Tried to make a simple one (with cup of water an a string) but it seemed to drip too fast (0.3l/day). Any suggestions?
Probably stupid question but soil or hydro? Either way, you can probably use a wick system. If you're soil and haven't transplanted yet, do before you leave (more soil=more water retention, I think). When you do, put some NATURAL fiber rope in there and leave several feet hanging out the bottom. Elevate your grow pot and put a bucket of water underneath with the rope submerged. I have never done this so I can't tell you how well it works. I have left my plants unattended for 10 days before with no problem. You can always get a hydro water pump and a timer.
