Autoflowering Lights

  1. Hey all, So I just started my first grow and things are going very well. Germinated, got a 1/2 inch tap root. Planted it and its just discarded the shell case.

I'm using the Lowryder #2 seed from Attitude Bank, and I haven't found much information on this. I'm using a 6500k 100watt CFL grow light for just one plant and my little guy seems to like it just fine so far.

Since I have an autoflowering, I've read I don't need to change the light cycle, however I haven't read anything regarding the spectrum. Can i just continue using the same 6500k light? Or do autoflowers need the the spectrum changed too?

  2. I recommend you change the spectrum when it starts to show some pistils. That way it will benefit from the blue light in the growing phase and the flowers will get the red light they need to become denser.

  3. Lowrider#2 isn't recommending changing light cycles because it changes to flower so quick it will actually inhibit flowering, I never read anything about changing the light spectrum, I might try adding a 2700k along side your current setup after your baby has grown to the 4th node

  4. Alright thanks guys. Yeah, I just haven't read anyone with the lowryder strain talk about their light spectrums on any of the journals I followed. I almost feel I wasted money on a veg light I'm only going to use for 2-3 weeks :/

Also my girl has her first baby leafs out and the first 2 real sets of leaves are slowly forming :)

Never thought I would be this excited haha
