I grew an autoflower strain, Candy Cane, for the first time and I was amazed at how much bud it yielded in just 58 days from sprouting. I was skeptical about autoflowers but I have to say I am now a fan of them. The yield and potency do not match some of the photoperiod strains I've grown, but this stuff tastes damn good. is pretty potent, and it was ready in just 58 days! I got 4 ounces out in the green house from one plant and 2 1/2 out the other in a gallon pot. According to the seedbank these plants can grow with as little as 8 hours of light a day and remain healthy so I plan to grow some of these in the winter months with the short days. The yield won't be super high, but that is fine in the past I hadn't grown at all in the winter months. I have a couple California Lightworks 440 watt solar storms but I am too cheap to run them when sunlight is FREE!
this thread is so awesome i can't agree more i love autos just is much as photo strains .It always great to try indica mixed with sativa .
I grow autos in the winter and photos in the spring to the fall. I think the autos smoke as well as the photos myself.
