Autoflower Hydroponic Grow - Plans

    I want to run through my grow setup and get some opinions on it

    The plants

    - White Widow
    - Diesel Ryder
    - ?? A strain good for relaxation, a deep indica ??
    - To be decided

    The grow room

    - 4ft x 3ft growing area and 5ft tall
    - 600w HPS + MH
    - Individual Buckets with 6" net pots and air stone
    - Expanded clay for medium
    - 18-6 light cycle (possibly 20-4)


    Misc

    - I'm going to flush the water every week and clean the inside of the pot every fortnight
    - I'm not sure what nutrients to use?
    - I'm still unsure on what plants to grow?
    - I'm aiming at around 50grams per plant, however it seems most people get around 30g per autoflowering plant :confused:

    I got like 2gr on the last auto I grew.... :eek:

    Nutrients is a matter of personal choice, and I usually suggest GH for newer growers to hydroponics..
    Simple 3 part with some Koolbloom, maybe add some FloraNectar to supply some carbs and feed your micros...
    But other than that, first few times out, I'd go simple.... K.I.S.S Method if you will......

    I would not flush every week, and I would change only every 2-3 weeks...
    Usually I cannot get my pH stable until like 2-3 days after a change, so I want to keep the nutes as long as I can.. ;)


    Which brings me to another point....
    pH and PPM meters...
    If you're going hydro, you will need a set or a combo meter....
    MAKE SURE they both (or it, if combo meter) has temperature compensation...



    Plants...
    Any Indica and most Kush is usually good for relaxation...
    So pick one and role with it.... ;)


    5' tall is a problem, unless you grow like lowryder...
    Or another option is SCRoG or SOG....
    IMHO, SOG is out because you want to use buckets, so I would suggest SCRoG...


    My last SCRoG was a 3'x8' and that was about 42 Oz and from 4 plants...
    The chamber has two 3'x4' areas side by side and I run 2 bubble buckets per side and get about 18-22 Oz per side...


    Just a few things to think about... :wave:
