Autoflower Flowering Period

  1. I'm on my 2nd grow and first time growing an autoflower. I chose White Widow Auto Fem from new420guyseeds. She is currently on week 4 from sprouting. She has 7 nodes about 3/4" apart. The packaging says the flowering period is about 65 days from seed. What does that mean? 65 days seems like a long time for an autoflower to veg before it flowers.

I'm growing indoors in a custom built cabinet under a combination of LEDs and CFLs. She's in a 3gal fabric pot with Fox Farm Happy Frog soil.

  2. add some 25% perlite to that hot compost, add more if you intend to nute later ..IMO

I'd not put much faith in sales talk more so with weed breeders'

at 65 days then your return on effort is good, if not ...grow more! ..lol

    good luck

  3. That doesn't make sense. But if it states "flowering is 65 days", then that is in addition to the veg time, which will be fairly short.

  4. Usually autos say something like, flowering period is about 65 days from seed. Which means it takes 9 to 10 weeks from seed pop to chop. Don't be alarmed if it isn't ready for chop at 9 to 10 weeks, some autos go longer, some breeder sales tactics love putting shorter grow times on the label so you will buy it. After awhile of growing different breeders seeds you will learn to see which seed breeders are true to their grow labeling times. Most autos start growing tall once pre flowers come in.
