Ok long time lurker, first time poster.... I have 4 photoperiod plants in a tent atm, on a 24/0 light schedule, all have just started their first set of leaves. I'm thinking of throwing an auto in just for the heck of it. Assuming that I veg for 3-4 weeks, will the auto be affected by the switch to 12/12? my guess is it will still flower (they flower no matter what) but your buds will probably be subpar and fluffy. The auto only has so much life in it, and it is a very short period. And the quality of the bud is almost entirely dependent on the quality and amount of light. So it's going to be living out it's last days at 12/12 when it really needs much more.

you'd be better off puting them under any light in your house when you flip. They like light. The more the better.
No no don't do that flip your photos till The auto's are done trust me I've made the same mistake all you'll do is take away from how much better off.your yield would have been. They are opsit as photoperiods because they are a light plant. (Autos) Now photos your continued are what has been said to me they are a dark 12hrs UN interrupts. Than 12 , of light. Autos more light more bud. Try it out you'll thank me I know I thanked who ever it was who helped me. I've learned so much here in two years. The guy at the local hydro shop around here had a pretty sizeable harvest off his autos. says hes been doing it the same way for about going on 6 years now. When I told him that I was doing 20/4 for mine, he explained a bunch of stuff that I cant exactly recall at the moment, but in the end, it was convincing enough that I decided to do 12/12 for mine when it came time that the girls showed pistols. Im a huge newb when it comes to this, so my word isnt gold by any means, but im doing my auto white widows under 12/12 if you want to pop in and have a peak.

Also, my tent is perfect for my needs, but I'm worried about light leaks during dark period, it's in my bedroom, tv, room lights etc... I will do my best to keep my sleep schedule the same as the ladies, but does anyone have a suggestion for something reasonably priced that I could cover the tent with? Vent holes are not my issue, rather pinprick light holes around the zippers/seams.... Thick blankets? Tarps? A ton of duct tape?
