Hey gang! So my baby has taken off recently and growing like crazy, I think it's at it's max height. 13 inches to be exact. This thing has a solid thick stock, so hopefully it's going to produce good weight! I was checking the grow schedule for this gene, it shows it starts to flower in week 5? And harvest in 63 days. But mine appears to already be in flower. Is this normal growth? I've seen other autos around 28-30 days and don't seem as big or bushy. Should I go ahead and start feeding bloom nutes along with my veg and micro? Thanks!
Yes you can go to your bloom now. What light sch will you be running for flower ? And make a new post . Take a pic of the top leaves .I see an issue there . Not sure to i see the pics . Think the light to close with out new pics ? Idk.
Well it's an auto, so been running it 18/6 all the way through. I thought about 20/4 but with the PPFD and DLI I'm getting in my 2x2 figured 18/6 would still yield max results. Getting around 650-750 PPFD at bud sites, and around 42-48 DLI a day. I've had a few minor issues, but she seems to be growing strong. Removed a few massive fan leaves to get light to bud sites. She does have some yellow tips, and some of the lower fan leaves started to have brown/rust looking smudge spots. My guess for the yellow tips would be light. But they are at max level. Posting new pictures. Day 31! Oh and a sneak peek of my G13 haze fem seeding! =)
G13 Haze Seedling Super tight spacing between nodes happening, figured I'd start to veg her with my auto and when I chop the auto I'll flip to 12/12.
What your describing is usually . Just add calmag. It will fix it up Looking good. They will yield well. 18 is better when flowering autos . 24 is better then 18 vegging autos . Some people do 12/12 with autos flowering .All up to you . I would do the 18 if i were you biggest yield it can pull
Thanks for the info bud. I did add calmag this morning and fed it as well. I'll probably keep this thread updated with pics and stuff until harvest. I like sharing my grow, plus I can always come back on the forum and see my previous grows.
Looks great super healthy. Maybe just strip away some big fan leaves and let the light hit them nugs more to increase yield.
I've grown Fast buds Bubblegum several times and found they were not heavy feeders. I'd suggest raising your light a few inches. I'm also growing Barney's Farm G13 haze right now. Mine are currently 19 days old and will be trained to augmented mainlines.
Autos are not heavy feeders in general... the genetics come from a base strain that thrives in less than optimal conditions and when they are put in optimal conditions you have to flower them like any other photo period plant. Ask me how I know.
I've only grown about 30 auto-flower strains and have only made one auto flower cross and a few back crosses using auto-flowers. So, I'll assume you are far more knowledgeable about auto flowers. Please share your knowledge so we can all learn from you. Edit: All of my auto-flower grows and seed runs are documented here on GC.
I believe you took my comment the wrong way. I learn from others on this site all the time. I don't assume I know more than anyone here. I just offered what my experience is with auto-flowers so you could better advise me on how to make improvements.
I'm not sure I'm understanding the term, What does not heavy feeders mean? If it's what I think, this is the thirstiest plant I've grown. I'm watering to about 20% runoff, and then having to water almost 24 hours later cause the pot is light and she starts to droop. But she's looking beautiful imo, new pictures coming today when lights turn on. G13 got transplanted yesterday to 3 gallon cloth pot.
I ran it twice, once using Mills Ultimate Coco and cork running CocoTek nutrient line and it was happiest at 600ppm. The second time I ran it was in a living organic medium. I did not need to top dress with anything as she was happy with just water.
Think I'm having some Cal-Mag issues. Not sure. I assume the brown spots are an indicator. Some of the lower fan leaves are browning and curling, they fall apart when you touch them. But she's doing good other than that. This strain is suppose to be ready for harvest in 63 days. So basically in 3 weeks. I sure hope this thing swells up soon!
