  1. Hi I'm a second time grower of mainly (assuming here) sativa dominant strains only in pots btw and this grow I'm 6 weeks into flower with some red hairs and clear becoming cloudy trichomes . But my question is how long do you aussie growers leave your crop in before havesting?

  2. Not exactly down under but I've done all outside for the past 5 years 4 crops per year so I'll toss my 2 cents on the table..
Indica = fat stubby leafs and tend to be shorter plants in general with limited stretch going into flower
Sativa = slender long narrow leaf fingers and huge lanky sparsely budded plants.
Hybrid = Something in between with varying percentage of either side
Ruderalis = Autos I won't try and cover
    .
Indicas usually take something like 8 to 10 weeks to flower..
Sativas can take 9 months total and 4 months of flower to really get their game on.. I've fired near pure sativa seeds early in the year, babied under lights till June, set out and I didn't harvest till late in December months after the rest of that summers crop was harvested, dried ,cured and smoked..
Hybrids take their flowering time from the highest percentage parent most of the time.. More sativa needs a longer flower and usually means a lighter harvest..
    .
I'd say buy a cheap microscope and watch for amber but that not really valid on near pure sativa strains.. My pair of White Widows never did amber up and while it never does get all that cold in Southern California I finally called it enough the week before Christmas..
Harvest before the first frost if that's applicable..
Hope that is of some help and ask further if needed..

  3. Yes I was thinking of leaving them until right before the first frost. Thanks for the info too. I think I still have 4-6 weeks left though before They start looking within the beginnings of harvest..
